Bug Bite!!!

I was running yesterday in the sweltering heat through this wetlands area and got bit by some bug.......flash to today, my forearm where I got bit is flushed red an inch around the bite with a dense, dull pain.

Anyone have an idea of what kind of bug or insect bite this could be? I'm thinking of going down to the Amazon to see a Shaman to extract the poison if need be.

dunno, could be a mosquito and your allergic to mosquito bites?
