A work mate has just turned 40 and is going through a midlife crisis and he wants to start BB, he has lifted before when he was in his late 20s, but 40 i dont know if he will get anywhere since most of the bodies growth hormones are on a decline, he says that hes open to suggestions meaning that he will try AAS after maybe a year or 2, anyone any advice to offer, thanks.

i trained a guy in his 50's who did a show in Australia and took 2nd. He wasn't the biggest, but he looked solid.

start him out, see how he progresses. the hardest thing is to not make generalizations, he may make great progress. if anything let him enjoy the ride. it might not be about him winning the Olympia, but improving his self confidence and personal outlook.

OUCH!!! only 3 1/2 more years till I hit 40. Get him started, ya may be suprised in the progress he makes after taking so much time off. My natural test levels actually rose a bit after coming back to the gym after a long lay-off (just ask the wife) saw some great imediate growth in muscle and some new body hair too ;)

Also have a client of mine that didn't start BB'ing until his late 30's, To view some of his contest pics go to; http://www.specificfitness.atfreeweb.com/
