So here I am, looking at turning 50 in 6 weeks. How to live a life free of regret? Continue to challenge yourself to realize your dreams.

17 years of training natural, minus a couple PH cycles and 1 under dosed misadventure, and I am ready to kill it. Starting out at 240lbs, 13%bf, just had my bloods done for base line, and have my training sketched out for the for seeable future.

Here is the outline for the cycle I just started. Thanx to all my EF Bros for their feedback, and a special thank you to Dylan for pulling it all together and putting in the final touches.

Oh, and 1 last thing. I will be doing Test Suspension 100mg as a pre-workout twice a week, so get ready for some PR's!

1-12 test e 500 mg week
1-12 aromasin 12.5 mg eod
1-6 helladrol 75/75/75/100/100/125 ( i wouldn't run 100 the entire time)
1-6 n2guard
5-8 HCGenerate
9-12 hcg 500 ius week
13-14 hcg 1000 ius week
9-14 anavar 80 mg day
9-14 n2guard

PCT 15-18

clomid 25/25/25/25 AGguys.com

Methyl EAA and test Infusion mrsupps.com
forma stanzol mrsupps.com
daa powerchews or powder

Keto burn MRSUPPS.COM
ostarine 25 mg day uniquemicals.com

I figure I'll post a picture on my birthday, so if the cycle wasn't obvious enough, Yes, I will be cutting. All comments and feedback always welcome, and thanx again.

Some nolva in PCT and you will be sorted :D only joking Buddha..

Hope its a good cycle for ya

You should definately see some excellent gains and appreciable fat loss from this cycle.
All the bases well covered too. I look forward to seeing your progress Buddha:).

Alright, It's been 4 hours since pinning 100mg Test Suspension in my right glute and I'm sitting down, so I guess that is a good sign. But, I have to say, the Test e is really smooth too so, consistency from beginning to end, no doubt.

I want to talk a little about my cycle set up because a couple guys pm'ed me with questions. My first test e cycle was under dosed, but it was still test. And the PH cycles I did 5 years ago were Hdrol, which Helladrol is a superior clone of. So the only new thing I have here in my cycle will be the Anavar which come later. I say this in order to let you guys know I walk what I talk when it comes to many important points I have learned here on EF. One new type of gear at a time in order to see how you react to it is the safest way to go.

And yes, this is an advanced cycle, but I have been training hard core for over 17 years, and I'm about to turn 50 years old (still gives me pause when I think of that), so anyway, on with the show.

Got to the gym for my Push day 2 hours after pinning the Test Suspension and really just felt a nice, smooth power coming out of my muscles. During the workout, I gradually moved away from explosive power so that I could focus on using my strength to move the weight. I felt full throughout the session and continue to hold the pump now. I'm also cruising on a nice mellow buzz. A cross between Buddhist practice, endorphines, and Test, no doubt.

My weights were up, but I didn't push too hard so that everything can get used to the heavier work. Keeping it at 4 sets of 10 till the start of May when I plan to do a reverse pyramid of reps 5/5/5/8/10/10. I'm also staying with the push/pull/legs approach which I hit twice a week with one day off. It's a cross bewteen Lyle McCambell's periodization and stevesmi's basic outline for push/pull/legs which is 16-18 sets a day. There will be more sets with the reverse pyramid, but about the same number of reps.

While researching on the forums here I found a thread by needto about Test Suspension where he talks about pinning every day, which I am now seriously considering. That would make it about a 3 week kick, and since I started it about a week after the Test e, it will dovetail nicely into my longer ester.

I trained clean for over 12 years before even considering a PH and it was another 5 before my study of AAS gave me the certainty that this route was for me. And I would do it all again. I have learned so many important life lessons about challenging myself, persevering, and refusing to give up from the healthy lifestyle that bodybuilding can be. I chant appreciation for the opportunity to struggle.

Really just a quick update on the fact that I have no noticeable PIP from the Test Suspension. Test e in right glute and Test Suspension in the left yesterday morning, and Test Suspension in the right glute today. If anything, it took me a couple reps to stretch down to my target box when warming up for squats, but nothing painful, just a little tightness. I felt comfortable doing 4 sets of 10, maxing at 275. I could have pushed beyond this, but like I said, I'm giving everything, (tendons, joints, etc.) time to prepare for what is to come.

The biggest enemy of learning is thinking you already know something. The trick is to always remain curious and willing to find out new things. Right now I am planning on doing the Suspension Sat, Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri, as, from the studying I have done, this is enough. It also takes me out to week 5 of my longer ester for a better transition.

Got the pre-pictures in the camera, and I weighed 234lbs. this morning. I am also considering increasing my sets by 4 a day as I will have better recovery during this cycle. It's another lovely day...

The cycle looks good. And your definitely gonna want to start upping the intensity of workouts as your body will have a higher training threshold.

Thanx for stopping in Joe. I added 4 sets to arms on both push and pull days, and 4 sets to legs. That takes me to 20 sets each day. I would like to add to chest and back as well, which I have been giving 8 sets each. What do you think; a full 4 sets, or a drop set type finisher?

I train 6 days on, 1 day off.

Oh I know. Check my sig homie ;-)

You're right, it's all great stuff.

I really like doing drop sets at the end myself. I don't limit myself to a certain number of reps or sets. I hit my goal on my main movement for the day, then I try to break rep or weight pr's on my assistance movements, then I finish off with bb movements to build the surrounding muscle groups. These are always done with lots of volume and I literally go until that area is smoked and I can't function normally. So however many sets you do just make sure they count and you push it to absolute failure.

Great opportunity to practice inner listening.

Thanx for the feedback Joe. For now I'm going to keep the push/pull/legs approach as I enjoy training 6 days on 1 day off, and hitting everything twice during that time. But, I'm going to steadily increase the sets until I find that I am no longer fully recovering before the next time I hit the body part. Today I upped push by 4 sets for chest and 4 sets for tris, with a couple drop sets in there when I failed in my upper sets. Plan on a similar increase on pull and legs.

Good steady energy and focus.

Its a pleasure to see someone try to be so healthy and stress free. I will continue to check in on you.

So I started the Test e 10 days ago, and brought in the daily 100mg of test suspension the following Saturday. I forced myself to take the day off the gym today after 10 days straight and I am sore as a MF. Nothing major, but definitely muscular soreness everywhere. I'm consistently at the top of my weight range, and ready to push beyond in the coming week. Another week of 4 sets of ten before switching to a reverse pyramid of sets of 5/5/5/8/10/10, which will have me pushing the weight way up. I have some tightness in my glutes from all the suspension pinning, but no PIPs to mention. I have to sit down and clearly lay out my diet. I have reduced my carbs, but am still maintaining a high protein intake. I'll post my starting weight and current weight on Saturday. It is always "from this moment on."

Hey oatmeal, Yea, it will be my 50th B'day at the end of May and I plan on posting up some shots.

Killing it in the gym today. Just looking to push the envelope now, but struggling to keep my reps between 10-12 for another week before switching to a reverse pyramid with 3 sets of 5 up front (after a thorough warm up of course). I did 10 reps of Dead Lift with 315 this week with just a tap to the ground in between reps. And I have added 4 sets for every body part and I can definitely feel it. My arms are nice and full and my glutes were sore for days after the DL's.

Weighed in a 236 lbs. today, 2 pounds up from last week at the same time/same day, so the Aromasin is definitely controlling any bloat. I have done 100mg of the suspension every morning this week and think I will split that in 2 shots for the coming week. The only fluctuation I have felt has been in my energy level, which takes a dive 12 hours after the morning pin.

I have been doing a push/pull/legs split twice a week for about 4 months and am thinking of moving to a 4 day split but keep training 6 days on, 1 day off. I will be mindful of my recovery/fatigue levels in order to push as hard as possible without going too far.

I just got my BEST belt in the mail and will be using it for the "working sets" of my DL's and Squats. This is the first time I have used a belt, but figured it was a good idea as my weights are going up, and at 6'2" I got alot of length in the middle.

Legs tomorrow, so a little more chanting in the morning before I go. I praise myself for my ability to persevere.

I noticed my arms are already looking fuller, and I have an overall sense of my muscles being consistently pumped. It's great to interact with all the bro's here as I am constantly learning and fine tuning my approaches. Legs today, and I think this was the first day I had no fatigue in them from Thursdays DL's. 290 Squats for 8 reps followed by Leg press, Curls, SLDL, and Calves. I finished the design for my workouts for the next couple weeks. I will be doing a 4 day split with 2 days of cardio (I hate cardio). I'll be working up to 28-35 sets per day and I will see how my recovery goes. The gear I'm using is the best of the best, and this being my first complex cycle, I am determined to push harder than ever before.

"The mighty sword of the Lotus Sutra must be wielded by one courageous in faith. Then one will be as strong as a demon armed with an iron staff."

I was talking to a more experienced friend about my new exercise split and how I wanted to make sure I was getting fully recovered before hitting a body part again. He told me that, once this cycle is in full swing, I can train the same body part 2 days in a row and have recovery. That's all I needed to hear. Drop the cardio and up the intensity! Of course, remaining mindful of joints and tendons along the way. I am just starting to feel some strain in my forearms and will get a good quality bottle of liquid glucoseamine chondroiton for a 10 day run. It has always worked for me in the past. Did back and bis today, Chest and Tris tomorrow, then legs, followed by a day off should give my forearms time to rest. I am also using N2Guard which supports joint health.

I'm being mindful of limiting carbs, but maintain a 6-7 meal, 2 protein shake rythm, and my abs are clearer by the day.

I was going to split my suspension in 2, but decided on adding VENOM transderm test in the evening to help maintain my levels rather than jab myself again. That said, 10 suspension shots in and not a single PIP.

I can't wait to get to the gym tomorrow....

Log's looking good bro. I love the push/pull/legs routine on cycle and hitting everything twice a week. My body responds very well to it. I keep the intensity up all the way through but I'm also 20 years younger. Keep up the good work

Thanx for stopping by sherk. So I was up for chest and tris today and couldn't get enough. I've brought back a style of lifting I used for years where I throw in a drop set, or widow maker where it just feels right, and it was awesome. My weight is steadily increasing, and my stamina was unstoppable. If I hadn't had to get back to work I'd probably still be in the gym! I spoke to a friend about protecting joints and tendons while my work load increases, and he pointed out that the DMSO gel in the Venom transderm products is great for this. It is actually used on race horses to protect the joints in their legs. So that is another aspect of Venom products that I will be reporting on. It was a gruelling workout, and I have so much energy right now I could do it again!

It's official; First painful lower back pump of the cycle. Not that I didn't desearve it. Doing deep squats, I pyramided up to 315 for 4 deep reps followed by a widow maker of 18 with 135. I could feel it while doing my hack squats, but it passed as I moved through leg curls and extensions with good form. Slightly sensitive nipples today. I have mildly puffy nips from what I guess is puberty gyno. I never had any kind of reaction from the pro-hormones I did 6 years ago, and there is no sign of lumps. I plan on upping my aromasin to 12.5mg ed and introducing Forma Stanzol applied directly on the nips and see how that impacts the situation. I had been told that the fluctuating hormones from the Test Suspension could bring this side and I plan on introducing Venom Test Transdermal tonight to help keep things more balanced.

I did a light shoulder pump yesterday as I really have not been taking days off. But my shoulders are coming in really nice and full as my cycle gets into full swing. Real, full day off tomorrow to prepare for an intense chest/tris and back/bis on the weekend. Veins along the top of my pecs starting to pop. It's nice to see them again. I'm a little flat at the end of the day because of my limited carbs, so I avoid the mirror. Maybe I meant vains popping. LOL

Remember when they told you, "Don't go in the water for 15 minutes after you eat."? I think it was because you might get cramps or puke or something. Well I filed the, "Don't train without taking days off, it's hard on your immune system.", advice in the same drawer as that old chestnut and forgot about it. Unfortunately the latter one here has been proven true. I don't know how many days in a row I ran before coming down with a miserable little summer cold. I was feeling like shit Friday, so took the day off and came straight home after work and crashed. I'm feeling much better now, thank you.

Ah yes, Venom transdermal Test. Did my first application 2 weeks into my Test e cycle with a suspension kicker and my libido took off. I feel nineteen again. And it's all consuming, physical, mental, spiritual (read Tantra), the works. And it is really nice. Reduced fatigue in my forearms to boot, so I am giving Venom gear another enthusiastic thumbs (and another body part) up; Way Up!

Gained another 3 pounds, thats 5 pound in just over 2 weeks. And my weights are moving up gradually and consistently. Add to this more overall fullness and greater definition, and I'd say it is a recipe for being one badass MoFo on my fiftieth birthday at the end of May.

So, now's time to chill, and maybe take my son down to the pool. Just waiting a little while since he just had a snack.

Hmm ... didnt someone give you some advice about not overdoing it in the gym to avoid overtraining? ;)

Get some rest and recovery and when you get back in the gym remember that the body needs recovery time. Especially for those of us not in our twenties anymore.

Oh, yea..You did mention that...hmmmm; Good advice as usual NJ, I will definitely remember it now.

I'm thinking 3 on 1 off, or at least 2 days off every week, or something like that.

Thanx for checking in.

3/1 or 4/1 or something similar. People tend to forget that even though a bodypart split gives muscle groups a chamce to rest and recover, they are n ot giving their central nervous system a break. Your cns is stressed every time you exercise and it needs a day a week or so to recharge. As I jole with my clients - even god needed one day a week of rest.

I don't know about you guys, but when I started seriously studying AAS and thinking about my first cycle, my wife had reservations. No doubt, from media stories of "roid rage" and the like. Well, just before this cycle I showed her a before/after picture of the rock on juice. She managed to stammer out, "You mean...you can....." and that was the end of it. The other day she saw me doing a deltoid injection, and all she said was, "Now that takes dedication."

Since my Venom transdermal Test kicked in last week, I've been baggin' her ever time she lays down. At this rate she'll probably buy me the gear for my next cycle. And all this cardio is definitely adding to my cut. It's a win win situation.

Anyway, back to the pain. It's a good kind of, muscular stretching ache kinda pain, but pain none the less. I really have to push myself through it at the gym, but I striving to make every workout count. I was concerned with some nipple irritation, and even bumped up my AI to every day, but I'm thinking it is actually my nipples getting stretched out as there are no signs of any lumps, and that area appears to be getting tighter.

It's the middle of my fourth week and my weights keep moving up.

Flat Bench 315
Squat 315
DL 315
Scull Crushers 125
EZ Curls 115
Pendlay Rows 225

Just to name a few. I forgot to weigh myself today, so I'll post again tomorrow.

Hi Buddha

Great to read of your continued progress on this cycle.

Are the rest days now enabling you to hit the weights with more intensity? That's what I found after I'd been overtraining 6/7 days a week. I immediately recognised the symptoms of overtraining and switching it up to 5/7 days of weights. It really made a difference to my overall recovery, attitude in the gym, and my well-being outside of it.

All the best, and keep us all posted. :)

Craig

Sounds luke the pain may be what is often called pumps. Try suoplementing with some taurine and it should help.

Great to have a wife/gf who doesn't buy into the media bullshit of roid rage and is open minded about it.. my gf helps me pin and while she doesn't like it she does it and supports me 100%. Not to mention she loves the changes she sees

Thanx for checking in guys. I'm just getting started psizzle. And yes labtec, my weights are definitely moving up since being strict about 2 days off a week, and in the past 2 days, 3 muscle heads from my weekend gym stopped me to talk about how much fuller I look. Thanx for watching NJ. You know, I always heard of taurine for back pumps but since I have never had such extreme, painful pumps like this I didn't make the connection. I hate GNC, but am gonna have to give in for just this 1 thing today. My only question is, will I limit my growth if I don't get the pumps? I could just dial back my intensity for a week or 2 if this is just part of my cycle coming on.

Anyway, on with the show. Weighed in at 244lbs. today. That is up 5 pounds since last week, and 10 pounds since starting my cycle 4 weeks ago. Still frisky in the bedroom although I may supplement with the big V because after the 2nd or 3rd time I am running out of gas before the finish line. Hey, I'm gonna be 50 years old in 2 weeks!

I spoke to a trusted friend about my painful pumps yesterday, and he recommended dialing back a little, and focusing on the compound motions. So I did Pendlay Rows and Chins, followed by rear delt and decline curls for my isolations. I could just feel the pumps coming on in my forearms when I finished this, so I just moved to lower back and some ab work.

Legs tomorrow followed by a day off. I'm thinking a shoulders day with a light chest/tris on the end on Wednesday followed by another legs day on Thursday. This will set me up for Chest/Front and Center Deltoid/Tris on Saturday after another day off.

It's just getting good.

Treating the pumps will not limit progress at all. Mr supps sells bulk powder taurine that is much cheaper and mixes well into prewprkput shake.

All it takes is "1" to break through a plateau. All it takes is determination, and the spirit to never give up. All it takes is everything you have, brought into that single effort.

I pulled 495 lbs. on a Dead Lift for 1 today. As I stood erect holding the weight, waiting for a gym friend to count down the seconds for a good PL rep I felt a calmness come over me. Every goal can be realized through single minded effort and all out drive. I'm just getting started.

Weighed in at 247 this morning. My body weight continues to increase gradually which, from what I understand, is a good sign that I will keep it. I started to push the over training envelope again this past week, so I pulled back slightly on my number of sets, took a couple single days off, and slept for 14 hours last night. Now it's time to eat, and eat, and eat...

Followed DL's with leg press, 8 plates on each side, curls, and extensions. I finished up having a laugh with another gym friend. "My girlfriend has to beat me off with a stick!", he exclaimed. Too funny...

Nice Job Brother, That is very impressive! Eat up and let that body continue to recover and grow. Damn, 495 is Beast Mode!

Thanx for the support guys, it's nice to get the good feedback.

So I have been dropping my reps as I pyramided up, and am now taking those max weights and, after a thorough warm up, reverse pyramiding 5/5/8/10. It just came together this week, but I had been planning it for a couple weeks. So far I have kept my heaviest weight, even when the first set is just 3 or 4, and will be looking to keep pushing for heavier weights for a couple weeks. I have a gym friend who just switched to 4 sets of 15, which he said he got from one of the Olympians, so I may be doing that in my last 4 or 5 weeks of cycle, we will see.

Right now I am just feeling really big; really full. And definitely showing a fuller physique overall. Wow, starting week 5. In some ways it seems I have been on this cycle longer as I have gotten alot done already. I'm determined to keep this vibe and squeeze every last bit out of my life for the rest of this cycle and beyond.

Carpe Diem Bro's!

Sounds lime all is going according to plan. Keep up the hard work and intensity.

So some tension came to a head at work Wednesday, and I found myself in a heated exchange with the person who, at the time, seemed like the source of all my problems. It wasn't "roid rage" to put it mildly, but it definitely got my pulse racing. As I sat basking in the afterglow of this uncomfortable exchange, a co-worker called over my shoulder, "Probably a good time for the weight room." My supervisor agreed and, although I had planned a day off, I ran in for legs assault.

I was so focused, I changed in seconds and hit the squat rack. I warmed up for my first, heaviest set of a reverse pyramid, and when I hit it it was all smooth motion with 315 down to the box and back up for 5. I wracked the weight and stood staring into the mirror on the wall. It was only then that I realized I hadn't put on my belt. I just kept going, 295/275/255/225, bringing my reps up every set. I had been cautious with 315, but now that I know I can nail it without a belt I'm sure my confidence will be reflected in my weights increasing next time.

I'm set for chest/front and center deltoid/tris in an hour. Check back for the update. Just gotta rock some Buddhist practice and grab my pwo supps.

Body weight at 249 1/2 lbs. this morning. I knew I should have weighed myself before going to the bathroom...

Weights keep going up. 335 on flat bench for 1 just to push past the 315 ceiling, 245 incline bench, 100 lb weighted dips, then flys, OHP, and angled scull crushers. All the regulars in the gym telling me I'm looking big, and me feeling it as well.

I'll be wrapping up the Helladrol/Test suspension/Venom Transderm kickers this week so we'll see what I hang on to. I've been consistent with the aromasin, so hopefully I don't have tons of bloat. I continue to slowly show more definition, so I am not looking to do any major changes in the diet. I said i would post a picture for my 50th birthday at the end of the month (thanks for the nice b'day wish Mr. Steel), and although my target for "summer body" is 6 weeks off, it is important to do what you say, so keep an eye out.

I am looking really good first thing in the morning. I get a little bloat in my nipples as the day goes on, and they get sore to the touch, but I haven't detected any signs of gyno. If I massage them for a while they feel better (I imagine I could post video of this on the internet somewhere). It seems like they started getting stretched out a couple weeks ago, thus the discomfort. Legs tomorrow, maybe DL's this week, which I have been swapping every other session with squats.

I've been able to come away from every gym session knowing I really killed it for weeks now. That is the best part; joy in the struggle.

Quick overview of the past 2 days. The holiday gave me 3 days straight in my weekend gym. It's a real lifters gym, and since I have been training there for a year, I have some good gym friends to have a laugh with.

Legs found me dead lifting and, although I failed on my first 455 attempt, I re-determined and got it and the 495 for 1. I guess I was a little tired as my form was not perfect, but I had someone watching who gave me good feedback, so "turning poison into medicine" again.

Back today, full stacking the cable pull downs and cable chins. A couple youngsters who just did their first competition hanging around, nice kids. I put a little more into bis today; ez curls with 115 for 6, decline db curls, and finishing up with preacher machine.

I've been getting muscle cramps, so I stocked up on bananas for the potassium, hopefully that works. It makes putting on my shoes really difficult when my abs knot up.

Day off tomorrow then Push/Legs/day off. Like I said, last week for the kickers, so I should be smoothly moving into my Test e phase as week 6 comes to a close.

Ready to start lifting.

Did some post workout shots in the gym yesterday for my 50th birthday, then ran around all day clicking through them for anyone who would stand still long enough to look. They were a pretty big hit for everyone accept the french guy I work with who has been telling me for weeks, "You don't have a six pack." When I showed him some photos all he said was, "I don't want to see that." Fag...

Half way mark to my target body at the 12 week mark of this cycle, and I'm feeling really good. My body seems fairly convinced that I could shag most things that walk and I would still be considered a heterosexual. Maybe; but I wouldn't touch the french guy, he's too gay!

This is the last week of my kickers, and I'm hoping I don't lose my Alpha Male, Alpha Being feeling. I nail my Buddhist practice first thing in the morning and bounce through the day.

This is the first week since the start of my cycle I didn't gain weight. I had flat bench set up with 315lbs. this morning, and I asked an older lady, who looked fit to stand by just for safety. One of my gym Bro's came right over after my first rep and politely took over. After 5 reps all he could do was laugh. He said he wished he had video of the look on her face when I brought the weight down to my chest the first time, he would have posted it on youtube!

Feeling strong and ready for anything. Keeping my form clean so I can keep doing this for another 30 years or more.

So far, so good.

This was the first morning I didn't pin 100mg of Test Suspension in 6 weeks. I started with squats, and after warming up, I put my belt on and did sets of 5 reps for 225, 275, 315, 335, 345, and finally nailed 355 for 3 reps. I felt strong and had no strain, tapping the box with my butt at the bottom of every rep.

I am eating 6 bananas a day as when I slack, I get cramps in my abs that are super painful, but kind of funny at the same time, especially when I'm driving. Pull day tomorrow followed by a day off which I think I may actually be glad for a rest.

So here I am, looking at turning 50 in 6 weeks. How to live a life free of regret? Continue to challenge yourself to realize your dreams.

I figure I'll post a picture on my birthday, so if the cycle wasn't obvious enough, Yes, I will be cutting. All comments and feedback always welcome, and thanx again.

why HCG during your cycle? HCG turns you test on. Taking test shuts you down so why you messing with the on/off switch leave all the PCT for the end.

It stops you getting badly suppressed and it makes recovery in pct easier.. tuning hcg in the last few weeks of your cycle is an excellent idea

Hey bonacris, yup that's it, thanx for stopping in.

Quick recap on the week before heading to the gym for pull.

If you get to keep the Alpha Male thing when on TRT I can see why guys go that way. I am in a way better mood and I'm ready to shag the wife like we just started dating. Nice!

Trying to bring the reps up just a bit as I plan on moving into 4 sets of 15 for the last 2 weeks and 2 week cruise. I've been on a bit of a holiday from my strictest diet since the half way point a week ago, but will lock it back down in the coming week. I can't believe I'm into week 8! Already organizing my SARMS bridge and thinking about my next cycle, and I haven't even started my Var yet. I will chant to be in the moment so I can savour the struggle.

Got my 495 DL for 1 again this week. Good form, although my knees got a little wobbly as I topped out. Maybe needed a wider stance. The wife will be away with my son visiting her peeps for a couple weeks, so I plan on getting a couple nights out dancing to techno/trance. This should work nicely with the Var for the finishing touches of this cycle. I hope all my EF Bros are killing it! Check back for the back/rear deltoid/bis report.

Change, the only constant in life.

I ran into a gym friend this morning as I walk in, and he was just starting a set, which he stopped at 10 reps. "I thought you were doin' 4 sets of 15?", I enquired. "That was last week." he stated. So I went back to my reverse pyramid for the time being. I did hit all my goal numbers for first sets of 5; Pendlay Rows 245, Cable Chins 270, and E-Z Curls 135 just to name a few. Nice, smooth motion; all out effort without strain, I'm loving it!

My "during the week" gym is a real young guys gym, full of bad form and cut off sleeves. I hadn't had chest/front and center deltoid/tris fall on a Monday in so long I forgot it is international chest day. I had to say to one guy on flat bench, "You're not doing the exercise if you don't go all the way down." He nodded and went right back to his half reps.

My body weight is down to 244 lbs. That's 6 pounds off my heaviest, but I knew I was losing some bloat with the end of daily Test Suspension injections 10 days ago. Now is the time to strictly monitor my protein intake to hold my gains, and carb consumption to continue cutting.

No problems with my strength though, hitting all my numbers, including 315 on flat bench. I plan on pushing this cycle to 14 weeks, that is an addition of 2 weeks. I have HCGenerate into the cycle already, and will be doing HCG at 1000iu per week for the last 3 weeks of cycle and 2 week cruise.

I spoke to a trusted friend about my winter bulking cycle. He said with the right diet, "you can just watch your muscles grow." I'm thinking, Holy Shit! Bigger than I am now?! But the fact of the matter is, If it can be done, I can do it. I thrive on discipline. I love to kill it in the gym and treat my diet like a science experiment. And I'm just getting started...

I missed a cardio session. Well, it was a scheduled night out dancing to techno. I came home, took a nap, and slept straight through. I rolled over at 1:00 AM and just bagged it. That's alright, this week I can roll into Thursday evening properly prepared to shake off a couple extra pounds. Looking forward to it.

Holding on to my body weight of 244 lbs. while maintaining or pushing up my weights. 335 on flat bench for 3 this morning. I did the reverse pyramid on my opening set, and then went into pyramiding up in order to get higher reps, which I assume will work well with the Anavar I started this week. 3 Days into the Var and I was already feeling tighter with some striations showing in my shoulders and veins making their way down onto my upper chest.

The family is away and if I thought it would help, I'd stay in the gym an extra hour, but they don't play techno there, so I just came home.

Pull day tomorrow. I'll decide in the morning if I will start with squats or DL's. After that it is a full day of playing guitar and laying out by the pool. Gotta rest up for Thursday.

Looks like everything is going great Buddha! Love your log. Ill update mine soon as ive been slacking.

Also your reverse pyramid technique intrigues me. I might have to try that out later this year. Keep killing it brother.

Thanx for stopping by Oatmeal, I'm watching your log.

Pull day, and I was running it through, reverse pyramided weighted chins for 5 reps with a 25 lb plate on a chain before switching to cable chins for the higher reps. Then pyramided up on wide cable pull down and 1 arm dumb bell rows. I hit rear deltoid before asking a good Bro, who won Mr. America some time ago, "What do you like for bicepts these day?" I had to ask; 8 sets of 10 alternating concentration curls, 3 sets of 10 close grip preacher curls with wrists back, 3 sets of 10 wide grip preacher curls, and finally, 3 sets of 10 reverse grip preacher curls. It was a grueling humbling experience full of intense burn and lower weights. I can't wait to do it again!

I have naturally started to increase my reps to move in a more definition direction, which I figure will work well with the Var. I've been working on my tan laying out by the pool which always gives me some bloat for a couple days, so definition is a little off. Eating tons of protein and keeping the carbs in check. Now it's guitar time before heading back out into the sun. Happy father's day to me with the family out of town.

Whose Var are you using? That hit you quick it seems.

Hey Bulldog. Running Venom gear 100% on this cycle. 45 mg capsule in the morning and 35 mg of liquid Anavar in the evening. Like I said, I could just feel some extra tightness, but I am definitely getting more definition, striations and veins. I have been adjusting my diet for months to peak around the middle of July which sets me up to have the Var give me that extra boost.

I want to strive to always incorporate AAS, or any supplement, in a way that they give me that edge, but I am not completely dependent on them for progress.

Other than scarring the bouncer at the club I went to, it turned out to be very little fun. I apparently slipped into the club after being wand metal detected, and by the time the poor guy tracked me down to tell me there was a cover charge, I had realized it was a lame crowd standing around listening to lame music. "Just have to run to the car.", I stated as I hit the exit never to be seen again. That's OK, I work with a dyke who is taking me out Saturday night. I know from years of being a bouncer myself, it's the gay nights that have the best music.

Good solid week of training down with gradually increasing reps. I continue to gain definition while maintaining my strength. I'm showing a greater V-Shape and clearer abs as well. I've been maintaining my Test E at 600 mg a week (split in 2), and Anavar at 50 mg capsule AM/30 mg liquid PM, but will be moving to 50 mg capsule AM and PM starting tomorrow. I took the day off today so I should be killing it in the morning. Check in for body weight and all the latest on Push day.

I think, in order to make gains and move forward in any field, you need to be able to put the ego in check. Coming out of the super, alpha male period of this cycle into the solidify gains while increasing cut segment, I have been gradually increasing my reps while the weights decrease. Finally settling into 4 sets of 10-12 reps this week, and some of those PR seem a distant memory. I have to remind myself, now is the time to struggle like never before. Now is the time to make every rep count and come out of the gym with a clear feeling of success.

My body weight is holding at 243 pounds. I've taken the high intensity approach I learned for biceps last week into tris, and may spread it even further. I had such a nice, deep ache in my arms today after back/rear delt/bis it was like I could feel them growing. The mirror is telling me everything is moving forward; nice round, almost cartoon like delts, wide back, full chest, and abs increasingly clear. With the weights I have hit on legs I thought they would be bigger, but I still have my bulk to look forward to this winter.

4 more weeks of 600 mg Test e a week, and Anavar at 50 mg AM/50 mg PM. I'm gonna keep my reps high and strive to put more weight on the bar every time. It's a fresh start....

So I followed through the swing into higher reps during my body cycle this week, and even had some 12-15 rep sets. My plan is to take Friday off then push the weights higher on my 10-12 rep sets, maybe even dropping down to 9 or 8. I still feel full even though I am under carbed in order to try to bring out a little more cut. Protein intake still high with meat, chicken, egg whites, yogurt, and 2 - 50 gram protein shakes a day. I snack on nuts when I feel like eating something between meals. I think I will carb up Friday night and see how I pump up Saturday. Maybe bring the creatine back in too.

I'm going to do a high rep legs tomorrow, starting with DL's, then hack squats, leg presses, curls, and maybe some extensions. I'll be shooting for 15 rep sets. I remember doing legs with Nicole Bass' training partner when I first started training (I think he liked me ;-/)and after a grueling couple of exercises, I went numb from the waist down. Maybe I can make that happen again!

Well, no numbness, but definitely a great work out. DL's, after warm up, of sets of 10 for 225,275,315, 365, then a fail at 6 with 405. Straight to hack squats for sets of 15 with 2 plates, 2 1/2, 3, 3 1/2, and then sets of 15 leg presses with 3 plates till my abs started knotting up. My glutes are already tightening up, so I know it was a good one.

Now eat, eat, eat, with a slow build up of carbs to get ready for a big pumped up weekend. I'll try getting some shots in the mirror again. Alert the media!

There is definitely something to be said for focusing on a clear approach to a workout. I hit press today ready to move some weights up in the 10-12 range and came out with a smoldering pump that is nearly painful. Some highlights, all at least 10 reps;

Flat Bench 275
Incline 185
Hammer Strength Shoulder Press 1 1/2 plates
Super set scull crushers/close press 95 lbs.

Finished up with some twisting cable ab stuff. I'm telling you, if I smoked, I would have lit one up and basked in the after glow.

Nice, solid, 10-12 rep pull today, with the intense bis workout on the end.

I carbed up on Friday, just a handful of of potatoes or rice with a couple meals, and wow, I could really see the difference Saturday. Abs clearer, everything fuller and rounder. So I went right back into the low carb diet, which has been just not having bread, rice, pasta, of potatoes with my meals. The only place I get straight carbs from is fruit, vegetables, and there is some in my yogurt. My target this year is the middle of July, so I will do the carb up thing to see where I'm at and get some pictures. I may play around with it to see how long I can stay in real peak condition.

It's been a long drive, and I am feeling really successful.

The never ending quest.

So I carbed up on Friday, and upon seeing that I was really filling in nicely in the mirror following my Saturday morning workout, decided to cut carbs again for a little more cut. Trained Sunday, so I was already losing the extra pump; I mean, it was all purposeful, all thought out. So when I glanced in the mirror heading for the shower after legs Monday my first thought was, "Where did my F'n muscles go?"

I went and watched part of the Muscle Beach bodybuilding competition on Sunday. I kept getting twisted up in the stands from unconciously flexing up with the competors. There were some guys who looked really good and some decent posing routines. It took me about 1/2 hour of walking down the boardwalk before I regained my bodybuilder strutt. I am determined to keep fighting to improve my physique, while at the same time, appreciate what I have already gotten done.

Buddhism, the middle way.

Had the day off Friday, so I went into press today with a passion. Mixed it up with flat dumb bells to kick things off. I complain that heavy DB's are a bitch to get into form, but it was all real smooth right into 120's for 8. I then did weighted dips and incline press. By the time I got to super setting cables, 8 low/8 flat/8 high, it was like my pecks were so swollen my upper arms hit them before I could bring the handles to center. I followed this with BB OHP, side raises, and then got a little carried away with tris, 1 arm db presses in the 9-11 range followed by super setting angled skull crushers and close presses.

My emotional pain levels are off the charts right now. I will channel my frustration and hurt, and I will be stronger and bigger for it.
