I read that it got a little too heavy-handed for a Jim Carrey comedy during the last 2/3 of the movie. My little bro saw it and he agreed.

Yeah it kind of got out of hand in the second half of the movie. They got all of the funny parts of out the way in the first half. I laughed my ass of during the jazz trumpet part, the part where he stepped in the pothole, and when he was making the anchorman speak. But I didn't laugh a single time during the second half of the movie. It turned into a mission of attempting to drown you in warm fuzzies rather than Jim doing funny shit.

Ace Ventura and Dumb and Dumber...still his best work.

BTW Dumb and Dumberer looks retarded. They did have one part on the preview that cracked me up, but the rest of it looked pretty lame.
