I look fucking really good in them. unfortunately, the blazer/t-shirt/jeans thing got uber popular the last few years, so I don't do it as often. here's an awesome corduroy (sp?) one I jacked from my pops' sample closet last year:

far out, got me a light-med brown cord jacket as well.

i'll try to find a pic on the net of what i have, or like.

as for the other two links...you actually like the armani logo and writing on the sleeve? the jacket itself is probably cool, though i'd need a better picture, or to see it on a person. but i could never wear something with all that printed on there.

and the sweater...what's with the patches on the shoulders and chest? i couldn't go down for that.

lol re: the sweater. I hate anything thats not kind of outlandish, loud, annoying or...gay. that's my steez

and while I normally don't like brand names written on my clothing, when it's a) as loud and annoying as the armani print, and b) on a piece of clothing that I really really like and can ovrlook the branding....I can deal with it.

Plus, let's be honest here - there is a distinct difference in how people (i.e. women) react to a piece of clothing or an accessory when it has a name like "Gucci" or "D&G" written on it as opposed to nothing. Sad, I know - but I don't make the rules, I just play by em

if there is going to be a brand on the exterior of the jacket, it had better be a rare one... imo. I like supporting new boutique brands. They don't have the marketing budget of armani/burb/gucci/ysl/etc.

Very true. I had a D&G sweater that had D&G in large print on the bottom of the back and was constantly getting complimented on it. It wasn't that good looking of a sweater, but wimmens loved it.

I agree dude. And you know the Guccis and Armanis of the world are all about plastering their name all over the place. But like I said, if it's a good enough piece then I'll still rock it (in the right environment).

lol, someone needs to invent a brand removal machine

that's unfortunately b/c when they see a designer brand they think $$, when they think $$, they think you are successful, when they think you are successful, they want to get closer to you so that you can provide for them, i.e. leech off you. the compliment was but a stepping stone on their journey to get into your wallet :D

really? women are going to be more impressed with BRAND all over the piece, as opposed to the same piece w/o it? that's unfortunate.

i'd have to see how your personality makes the clothes work. or if it's just that your wacky personality serves as a distraction.

BOOM.

for the record, one of ym favoritist shirts ever, and one that I get complimented on all the time, is from a 2nd hand store. those places are gold mines if you know how to approach em
