Broken glass vial

I just opened a vial and the top of it cracked and broke inside the oil. Would it be safe to use it still is it sterile? Or should I just bin it ?

It should be just fine bro, but I will usually throw it out in a situation like that. If you get glass from the amp inside the liquid, you might want to toss it. If you use a fine needle and don't suck the bottom up, you maybe fine, but for the peace of mind I would rather just toss it.

If you somehow manages to crack glass into a multi-dose vial. It maybe worth just saving the vial and ordering up a Whatman Filter and using that to run your gear through to another vial that is not cracked.

I'm just too paranoid to leave anything like that to chance.

Why not draw it up into a bunch of syringes and it'll stay sterile?

the glass should sink to the bottom. when you draw the oil draw off the top only

Still fine to use. All those glass shards will be too big to be withdrawn through the small withdrawing needle tip.

I like Mobster's idea of putting the gear into syringes.
