Broke my straps today

And I don't recommend it. I was doing some deads, just warming up with 315 lbs. and they snapped in twain, in twain I say. I knew better too since my training partner kept saying they were gonna go anytime but I just shoved him (hard) and adamantly maintained, "They're still good! They're still good!" Anyways, so I'm on rep 10 and it's all good until I hit the top of my rep and bam the left one goes and the weight crashes to the floor and cuts up my leg. It wasn't too bad but it's the principle of the thing. I looked kinda dumb and everyone was giving me the 'evil eye' so I immediately removed my pants and rubbed mustard all up and down my legs and applied a healthy smattering to my choda to divert attention away from my little accident. Needless to say the plan worked like a charm and at that moment, my favorite Cindy Lauper song came on and so I danced like I have never danced before. I began humping the fallen barbell which I think really helped win over the crowd. People were cheering for me by the end of the song and a single tear ran down my cheek when the slow clap began.
Well, everything up to the mustard part is true. And yes, my favorite Cindy Lauper song did come on but I just masturbated in the corner as opposed to outright dancing.

I thought the Cindy Lauper part was kinda funny. Actually, I started off with a serious post and by the mustartd part I kinda lost control but didn't have my whole heart in it and so hence the post you witnessed. You either gotta totally commit to being weird or really distance yourself from it ya know? Look who I'm asking. Sorry.
Anyway, the dieting with primop is actually going nicely. i don't seem to have lost any muscle but my fat is dropping. I'll probably start my cycle at 8-9% (probably 9%) and hopefully I'll be able to hold that and reach 225-230. :) How's by you? You started yet?
 
Nah, havent started yet. Start winny/ala in 2 weeks hopefully for 6 weeks. If all goes well I will get down to 7-8%.

In any case you are a homo.

I know. I let it get the better of me and now I'm trying to correct the situation. I've been throwing in some grip strengthening exercises at the end of each workout cause my grip strength is ludicrously weak. Seriously. Even with straps, I lose my grip on shrugs before I reach failure. I suck. Shut up.

I'm not a expert but I do use straps when I am trying to do the heaviest weights.

My logic is that if you want to increase forearms, shouldnt you excercise them like any other muscle? Like what other muscle do you simply put into a lock and hold for long periods of time?
 
Reminder to self: Nathan needs new straps and a bottle of mustard for Christmas. Do you like regular or spicey mustard?

i do train forearms separately I am just trying to increase grip strength as well. I do behind the back BB wrist curls and DB wrist curls and sometimes EZ bar wrist curls. So there. The grip strength is separate but i want it to improve.
