On my trek to get bigger and better I finally met up with PolishHammer1977 for two insanely intense workouts. No bullshit chatting, pretty machines or even smith machine. Just some heavy metal being thrown around with authority.
On a side not the Hammer is one big m*tha, I mean like big and tall it was kinda funny when started to lift, cause I'm so short he looked like he was helping his little brother or something.
So on sat we decided to do shoulders and tris, first question he asked was "What do I think of smith machine?" we both proceeded to laugh and head over to the seated barbell miltary station. After that it started to go down hill, lateral raises all three sets to failure with some forced reps added in on each set. Then reverse flyes, one set superslow, (got really dizyy on this one) and then push-presses for 2 sets.
For tris we did five sets of closegrip Neddsize style and then to Seated dumbell overhead press for three failure sets. Then we did 3 sets of single tris extension to burn out with... All in all a solid day felt real sick when I got done and haqd to take a nap after eating. When I woke up it really sucked cause I coul;d barely move my shoulders and arms.
 
Leg day was no fun either. Four sets of highbar squats 2 or three sets of box squats, can't really remember since I was getting really dizzy. Three sets of SLDL followed by 3 sets of hamstring curls. Then 3 sets of standing barbell calf raises, followed by another 3 sets of seated raises. For about one hour we owned the gym:) , I mean no one came near us or bothered to ask for plates. It was just right, sweat blood and guts. I have to give credit to the Hammer he is one of the few guys who can really motivate me to lift hard on each lift.

If anyone wants to know the numbers I will be happy to post them. So next time you guys are thinking of working out in NYC area just pm me, it will be balls to the wall....

P.S. I am going to outlift you soon Hammer;)

Dude we were down in Garden city, should have shown up kid all sorts of heavy iron being moved. Was kinda weird though first time in a while someone has consistantly lifted more than me, ah but that will change in a few months

Be happy i didn't come or i'd embarass you both. :D :lmao:
 
I know we'd both be put to shame;) But I did feel preety good knowing my spotter could help me if shit went wrong, sometimes I know my spotter can't and then it becomes a matter of life and death:bawling:
 
Sounds like you guys had some brutal workouts. My training partner is a bro from elite as well, and my workouts are night and day better when he is there comparing me to his Polish mom....

Alright Dr Bones for myself
Military Barbell 95 x 12, 145 x 10, 195 x 5
Lateral raises 25 x 12, 30 x 10 (2) forced, 30 x 10(2) forced
reverse flyes 90 x 10, 105 x 10, 120 x 8
push press 135 x 8, 135 x 8 all done real slow to failure
Close Grip bench 135 x 12, 225 x 8, 245 x 6, 245 x 5, 245 x 5 arms felt like they were tearing from the inside.
Seated overhead Db 60 x 15, 90 x 10, 105, x 8 (2) forced
One arm ext 45 x failure each arm 3x

Hammer even made me use medicine ball for abs, let me say it hard to even move my stomach to breathe. All movement were done with a 3-2-2 cadence, negative-pause-positive. Also spots were given only when necessary.

There will definitely be many more training days to come. Just make sure you call me back when you get out of the city next time. Were planning on a uppder body workout in a couple weeks. You're in.
 
For those who don't know, Lord Suston is a stocky tank and a hell of a guy. We completed a two day trial of the iron in the gym I go to here on Long Island. Proud moments of pain were spent this weekend in the gym. The gym that is usually flourishing with yuppies and smith machine heroes seemed to be empty and have a flock of people staying as far away as possible. lol

Shoulders was a mission against pain. I won the battle but it was difficult. I had never done the push press after a workout before. I was sore as shit that night @ work bc of those. Lord can definitely assure himself in the iron dungeon and he showed it Saturday.

Legs was just what I thought it would be. A battle to not throw up. Concentration and focus were the two factors in there that helped me get through. I received a SLDL lesson from Lord and I have to say that I like them. Just have to wait until next week to do them again. My hamstrings hurt. Those squats felt awesome. My calves hurt.

when your skinny ass breaks 300lbs I'll just stop lifting. Tryed box squats courtesy of Hammer and let's just say I can barely sit down without major pain.

By the time I get passed you I won't even look like a boxer anymore, I'll have to fight in open weight divisions:rolleyes:
 
Im telling you man. It's one or the other. Just like the "elbow" touching thing. But it would be fun just to see what might happen. lol I'm doing a lot of thinking right now. lol

lol at this thread. Let me just say to anyone who want to join in, the more the merrier. Just bring a bucket and some intensity.
I will give creadit to the Hammer for Going a little past parrallel on squats for a tall guy he had good form and went real heavy to boot.

Next time I come and workout I will be putting up more weight, it is just a matter of time. I still can't believe I got stuck in the pocket with 365:rolleyes: , I need more hamstring work. Well back to big meals with carbs.
 
You may have gotten stuck in the pocket but you took it to the limit and did the exercise better than the person who originally designed it. lol Textbook ladies and gentleman. When we get the video in effect you'll be teaching many peoples.
Thanx for the compliment man. Tall guys usually don't go through full squats. I am trying man. The fact that I have long thighs do not help either. lol I go as far as I can go!
My hamms are still sore DAMN! I ate all day man. Still eating. Pumped for the next meeting. More weight, more pain, and this time wrre hitting a buffet after. lolololololololol

Already ate 5 lbs of chicken today and am still hungry, but my legs got reall sore all of a sudden, like hard to even move sore. tomorrow another buffet run:D
 
I'm glad you guys had a great workout...

But you can laugh at the smith machine all you want. I'm sure 300 lb + DC and Dorian would have laughed at you doing lateral raises and reverse flyes.

The smith machine gets such a bad rap. I agree that it's not good for squatting. But for some exercises it's a great machine simply because you can rack the bar at the top OR the bottom. You can train to failure much easier.
 
Thanks, I did have a great workout.

I am not on all the chemicals Dorian is on so I need every bit of extra stimulation I can get. at lets be honest a good spotter is worth a lot more than a smith machine where the weighty is tracked and you can only reach positive failure without a spot. I don't know the last time a smith machine help the weight up and then let you do negative hold.Find a guy who uses only smith machine, in general he physique is lacking.

but if works for you have fun, you'll find me in the freeweight section next to the squat rack with a shit load of weight.;)
