What about doing a bridge on a Swiss Ball ?
Useful ? worthtless ?


[both feet and hands on the floor, back on the Swiss ball]
 
it would stretch your stomach nicely, and take the pressure off the shoulders. you wouldnt have to be as flexable either.

what are you trying to accomplish? it would basically weaken your abs. longer muscles are weaker, and inflexible muscles dont have to work as hard.
 
Back bridge is suppose to increase spinal flexibility which means you're less prone to back injury
 
I use it both to stretch out everything before starting my workout.

Bridge on the ball will both stretch your back and abs and rarely do you ever see anyone stretch their abs before an ab workout. Maybe there's a reason for it I'm un-aware of but it sure as hell feels good. Bridge on the ball also gives a pretty good stretch to the delts and pecs if ya reach back far enough.
 
they do work well for stretching. i have a hyperflexible spine from doing too many bridges when i was younger. my feet can touch my head easily. i tend to stay away from deeply stretching my stomach anymore.
