any other symptoms besides the SOB?
Nolvadex can cause stroke and pulmonary embolism. According to the PDR it is rare:
"For stroke, the incidence rate per 1,000 women-years was 1.43 for NOLVADEX vs 1.00 for placebo**. For pulmonary embolism, the incidence rate per 1,000 women-years was 0.75 for NOLVADEX vs 0.25 for placebo**."
Just a bit of info FYI. Pulmonary Embolism is the third most common cause of death in the US, with at least 650,000 cases occurring annually. However, prompt diagnosis and treatment can reduce the mortality rate dramatically.
Symptoms that should provoke a suspicion of PE must include chest pain, chest wall tenderness, back pain, shoulder pain, upper abdominal pain, syncope, hemoptysis, shortness of breath, painful respiration, new onset of wheezing, any new cardiac arrhythmia, or any other unexplained symptom referable to the thorax.
I'm not trying to scare you into a frenzy, but it wouldn't hurt to go see a doctor just to have everything checked out. Anytime you have a SOB or chest pain...get it checked out...better safe than sorry.
