Brain Music?

It's just gone from 'groovy four day weekend' to 'work all weekend' because Clientus Humonguos made changes for Tuesday's deadline. The Horror.

That reaming having been described: what kind of music do you folks listen to when you need to concentrate like a laserbeam? I would do silence, but our office is prettly busy, so to minimize the background distractions I don the headphones and get musical.

What do you use?

Hunter Thompson used to use white noise generators but that might be a bit over the top for me... suggestions welcome. I used to do the Kitaro/TangerineDream/Jarre/BlueManGroup stuff, but need to branch out big time.

Me, personally, I listen to heavy metal. The loud, raucous beat tunes everything out surrounding me allowing the laserbeam focus.

But why do I not see you listening to Metallica?

heh

have you tried any of philip glass's works
glassworks was awesome
i also like morcheba's big calm but may be alittle too funky for most people to concentrate to
there are some cds of reiki music that some of my friends like but ohmifrigginggawd a full two hours of it...did not for me lol
but to each his/her own

I would avoid string instruments and listen listen to some rather cold music, such as Chopin Etudes, any drum n bass, acid jazz (surprisingly). When you are about to finish up you can whip out the Tchaikovsky and keep some big band or jazz for getting drunk afterwards.

I have heard Kaly's "Electric Kool Aid"

Used to do some Air, very 'velour' stuff.

Diggin out some old MadProfessor right now. Augustus is Jah Master so he will be in serious rotation as well.

Can't believe you brought up MadProf, going to listen to that on my way to the beach today, it has dust on it, thanks!

Havoc!

Do this for me: right now, put on Spear's 'Brighten My Vision' off of 'Calling Rastafari', turn it up.

I want to know that somewhere, someone else is skankin' to this Ighteousness.

In the words of Ras Raymond: "A new broom sweeps clean, but an old broom knows every corner".

"Shout it out Shout it out Shout it out Shout it out"

ha, I know the song well, that will be in the rotation on my excursion to the beach, thanks again!
