Brain chemistry

Not sure where else to post this...supps seems like the right place to me.

Seems like I use the following:

Caffeine - for motivation, when I am on an ECA and get up to the 600+ mg caffiene per day level I am ultra motivated; paying attention in meetings, doing projects at home...getting shit done.

Test - for mood & sex drive. when I'm on test I feel like I'm on top of the world, confident.

Alcohol - Social lubricant. When I drink I don't get any sort of social anxiety which I usually have. I have better conversations, can talk to ppl I don't know, don't get the sweats when put in a socially akward environment.

Now - I hate having to rely on these things as they all have negative side-effects. So my question is, are there vitamins/minerals or other drugs/supplements that I should investigate to replace what I'm using the above drugs for?

Anything at all is helpful here.

anyone? Macro?

Have you tried Oxytocin? Vitamin B12 @ 5000mcg micro-dots (from mothernatue.com, they made me very calm, or Vitamin C Timed Release @ 3g took away stress (and it never returned again). Rescue Remedy's become popular recently also.

Caffeine - i have used taurine with fewer side effects, though i've never even got upto a 400mg caffeine dose

Test - tribulus+zinc?

Alcohol - i'm still searching for a legal alternative...

Tried Oxytocin - didn't do much for me.

I'm already using 2g of vitamin C and sublingual b-12 dots. Haven't really noticed much of a difference, maybe I need to up the b-12.

Interesting - hadn't heard of taurine for motivation/energy issues, I'll look into it. Already tried the tribulus+zinc, no real effect. The alcohol is rough - in the past couple years I've cut down a lot - but I'm still drinking socially 2 nights a week.

i've used pure taurine in powder form, mixed with creatine and protein, did the job for me at a high dose but who's to say it was down to just taurine.

caffeine's good but i've had 400mg today and i feel rotten now and i'm constantly upping my dosage.

i'm quite a heavy drinker too, i used to be a big fan of beer but then I changed to spirits, less calories and the beer gut is disapearing.

What are the main problems you have with what you've mentioned?

I know a few guys who use coke now instead of drinking, it helps them with working out too, but I wouldn't recommend it personally.

No real problems w/ caffeine/alcohol/test - I just feel like I should be motivated, social, and happy w/o them so I thought that maybe something else in my head was out of balance.

i had no motivation problems before. i went to the gym 3-4 times a week.

Since i've been taking caffeine for my performance i've been actually WANTING to go 6 times a week, 7 times if i wasn't worried about overtraining.

In terms of social interaction, I guess were just like everyone else, which is why alcohol is so popular!

Never tried testosterone so I can't comment on that

maybe your depressed bro. tell your doctor you need some anti-anxiety help.

also wellbutrin. it has fairly noticeable stimulant properties. and its an anti-depressant. takes about 4 weeks for it to fully engage your CNS.
