Sometimes BP measurements vary on the condition in which the measurement was done. For example, (stay with me) if a hot nurse is taking your BP, it tends to go up - since your heart might be going a mile a minute. However, by now, your BP should be back to normal; if not, try adding some potassium and taurine to your diet, as well as vit C and dandelion root.

Potassium information
That's a good article on why you need potassium.

thanks x. is 140/100 very high though or is my doc just being a stickler. also he is a doctor and a massage therapist so i just got a massage before the bp test and he said that it would be lower if anything.

what are you eating? maybe high sodium?

i def eat high sodium stuff but it was never a problem. is 140/100 an alarming bp to have.

well it is unusual since you're off or have been off awhile and your levels were normal before the cycle. Can you think of anything else that could be the result of high bp other than gear, diet? Stress?

yea pretty stressed from school i guess. i'm still on nolva so that could be contributing

high sodium diet = water retention = increased BP

That's natural.

i feel fine but he randomly did a check on me cause i was very tense and it was 140/100.

Take your BP in a relaxed environment and see what the outcome is. If it's still high, you'll need to make some changes to your diet etc...

I just looked this up in a medical publication; there are 4 levels of high BP, borderline, mild, moderate and severe. 140/100 is at the high end of the mild range. Especially your bottom number. If your bottom number goes over 104 you would go into the moderate range even if the top number stays the same.

Normal BP is 120/80.

Normal ranges for BP are 130/80 for an adult. Thats about avarge. Mine runs a little higher some run lower. I agree with X, take it when you are relaxed and monitor it over the next few days.Drop the salt. GOOD LUCK

My numbers are similar right now bruce, and I usually have low bp naturally. Its def stress in my case. Finals week is coming up and I have 5 exams over two days (1 is a 3 hour biochem exam!) and 2 papers due. :worried: So its not AAS related in my case and I know it will go back to normal when this shit is over.

adding arimidex will reduce bloat and retention which will lower BP.

-ok, lets do this from a medical standpoint, systolic of 140, i would not be to worried about that. that is more along the lines of the high end of normal. diastolic of 100, i would be worried, you really need to keep a close eye on this. stress can effect your bp but if you are continually running high there is a problem. your best bet is to take your bp about 4 times a day for the next few days and see what the fluxuations are, if any at all. if it stays high you need to have it treated.
-you said that you went to your dr. did he check your cholesterol. what is your total cholesterol, your ldl, your hdl. these things are very important.
-does your dr. know that you use the gear. it would be a good idea to tell him if he don't. you might have some renal (kidney) damage. he needs to check your BUN and CREATININ. your creatinin levels are indicitive renal damage. and your renal arteries, if you have renal damage, can reek havoc on your bp.
-also you need your hepatic (liver) functions checked. If you have severe damage it can also cause severe problems with your bp. to long on the orals can cause cirrosis which can lead to ascieties.
-hope all this helps.

I've never heard of anyone having kidney damage from a test/deca/dbol cycle. What makes you suspect that?? And I doubt he has any liver damage from 4 weeks of 40mg dbol either. Getting regular medical checkups is great advice, especially when blood pressure is above normal and lipids/cholesterol might be elevated from a cycle. But beyong that, you sound like you're trying to "scare him straight" with extra anti-AAS health claims.

im on the shit as we speak. just trying to give him some sound advice. also, i never said that aas causes renal failure or even renal problems for that matter. with that being said large amounts of protein coupled with an increase nitrogen level in the body adds stress to the kidneys. i dont know how long he has been using or his medical history for that matter but people with renal probs or hepatic probs generally have high bp. then again it may be nothing at all. he could just have fluid overload and need to diurese. it could be a number of things. i'm just trying to give him some sound advice so he can be informed and know what kind of questions he needs to ask his MD. there is no way without the proper tests that i could know what might be causing this. but i do know 1 thing, a diastolic of >100 is something to concern yourself with.
