hey have you herd of the bowflex (im sure u have) im so tired of seeing that thing on tv but i was wondering if it worked so if any of you have let me know what you think

I used to use one at work sometimes. It is better than nothing. I don't believe it compares to free weights or even nautilus. There was only stress through a small range of the motion.

A good friend of mine has one. Cost him $1300, and he's still making payments. He like swears by it. Won't come lift with me at the gym.

It think Bowflex is fine if all you want is tone.
But I don't think it would help in packing on size.
You can get a Soloflex on ebay really cheap probably just as good.

my partner at work, who is about 5'11, 215, just got one because he has bad knees. he doesn't squat over 135, and this is his solution. I try to give him a little insight to proper form, but he still boasts that years of the Marines have fucked his knees up. yeah, , my joints aren't as bad as his, but some people are just glued to marketing.

20 minutes a day 3 times a week or whatever the commercial says isn't going to get you looking like that.

They just went to a real gym and said "hey that guy looks good, lets give him $200 for 5 minutes of work, to stand infront of our machine and say it works good."

Your location says Soviet Union, are there still a lot of lifting facilities there? I read that back in the 80s there were lots of state supported gyms that only cost like a dollar a year to join. The thinking was a healthy population will produce more and help the country more.

i herd a lot of people say it works but it doesn't seem like it would have any resistance going backwards but i guess having 1 would save you money in the long run.

i would have to see it to believe it, B is a big kid, but a average size car? with engine, transmission, all the interior, front seats, back seats, spare tire, jack etc. unless it was a yugo it's hard to believe unless he had a little help.
