Bowflex question

Would it be a wise investment to buy the top of the line machine. I have a gym membership but some days I am only able to work out after my gym is closed. I am forced to do two body parts each day to get all the muscles trained which causes me to skip a body part or two each week. I can do a hell of a lot more training if I had a home gym. I would still go to the gym when I can. No, there are no 24 hour Gyms near me.

I think the guy in the Bullworker ad is bigger than the one in the Bowflex ad.

Get a power rack, a bench, an Oly bar and some weights. A rubber mat or two might be a sensible addition.

Bullworker, lol....I have some back issues of pro wrestling magazines from the 70's and I remember seeing bullworker ads in them, lol....just made me think how ridiculous it looked.

Seriously, man, like Blut Wump said, invest the money in a power rack, a GOOD QUALITY adjustable bench, a Texas Power bar, and some plates. If you've got money to spare look into some dumbells. Rubber mats are always good....it all depends on your budget.....but don't waste your time or money on a Bowflex.

BTW, the new infomercial is great. The one where they have gym rats of all sizes and colors gathered around trying it out. I like when that one guy is doing quarter squats on it and he says 'It's ripping it up guys!'

Also, the new commercial has some natural BB champion - I think USA champ - saying he did his entire training on the Bowflex

Shit like that pisses me off. Those machines should be burned. The infomercials with all the douche bags standing about, raving about how much the machine owns, push me towards insanity. Does anyone buy into all that? Can anyone be so stupid as to buy into the Bowflex's bullshit!?

Wait, yes...yes they can...

Thank you all for your input. I will have to look into alternatives. I didn't really think about the fact that the $1600 I would be paying for a Bowflex could buy me a good setup for the house. Maybe I'll put up with the lack of training for another year (until things change with my current situation) then I will be able to hit the gym like I used to.

dude I bought a oly bar and 300lbs of weights for like 100 bucks at Academy...You can get a home gym for just a little more than what you would pay for a years membership at a "fitness studio" I think that is what the are calling the gyms these days...
