Bowflex , ProSpot .... and muscle stimulators

Just wondering,

what do you guys think of these workout equipments/muscle machines?

ProSpot, now do you think it is really reliable as they say it is? Like all technological machines, I think ProSpot may also fail on you.....

muscle stimulators, do some of you actually use this? I heard that it can actually increase your strength and power...

Never heard of ProSpot ...

Bowflex could be useful, but only for things like active recovery, rehab, etc. I would not waste $1300 on that. Oh, and muscle stimulators are the epitome of crap.

It's basically a Smith Machine that gives you more ROM? For $3000? Fuck that.

Buy a power rack for $200.

About 10 years ago I bought one of those muscle stimulators and it was a complete waste of money. I bought the one from the back of M&F for $600. I still have it to remind me not to fall into fads.

$3000?!!! for that price you could buy a couple of preowned hammer machines, a power rack and an oly set plus a load of plates, trap bar, dumbells etc.

The Bowflex is ok. I've got one and I enjoy using it but nothing can replace the gym. The main reason I have it is because I'll work out @ home a hell of a lot more than I'll go to the gym. Now, I will go if friends go. We've got a POS one on campus and a couple of buddy's have a decent workout room @ their apartment complex.

I'd say that a Bowflex is better than nothing, but nothing can replace machines or free weights. I think everything has it's place. You just need to decide which one (or combination) fits you best.
