Bowflex anyone?

I am thinking of getting one for the fact my hands are weak and I won't have to worry about breaking my foot with a weight. Geex there expensive though. Think I am going to write the company and ask for a handicap break.

I think that they are worth the money in some instances. No, you're not going to get a bodybuilder body or strongman strength from them, but for rehab like you're talking about having to go through it should be of help. You need to look on the web and in the paper for a used one that way you can save a lot of money. Good luck.

Take it from someone who sells quality exercise equipment, DON'T BUY A BOWFLEX! Or CorssBow or Golds Gym Flex-whatever. They aren't worth the money! There's much better equipment out there for the same or even better price.

all depends on your goals. If you are trying to grow forget about the BowFlex or any other home piece. If your goal is just general conditioning I think the BowFlex is pretty good. It is not anywhere near freeweights though. Funny commercials though. I especially like when the host goes, "look at his chest, it's going crazy".lol

Since he's looking to rehab from some serious burns the bowflex would probably be better than free weights at this time.

You can't use this phrase. I sell home exercise equipment, and I ain't talking about the shit you find at Sears or Sports Authority or Big 5 either, and I have home equipment that will rival alot of commercial equipment (Powertec, Parabody, Hoist, etc., etc.,).

When it comes to home exercise equipment bowflex is pretty low on the list as far as quality. But if you feel it would be a good choice for you just look in the classifieds for a used one. There is always someone trying to get rid of theirs so you can probably pick one up for $300 or so.

Man just get a set of powerblocks dumbells and an adjustable commercial quality bench. Go with free weeights, sure they're the least sexy and most difficult to market but are the most effective training tool, period. NOTHING builds quicker then free weights, nothing. You can start out light and give yourself time.

I want a bowflex too but really don't have the room for one. Maybe in the near future i'll consider getting one once i remove something else.
