Boulder Shoulders

The only way for me to keep my shoulders big is to keep hitting them with weights that are heavy for me :)

Power Clean and Press - 135 - 10X2 (Speed set warm-up)
Push Press - 205 - 3X5*
Power Clean and Press - 135 - 5X2

* = the movement begins as a power clean and than a press.

The workout lasted 25-30 minutes. My heart rate might have been visible through my shirt.

That is also a PR 3 reps on the Push Press you know.

you know, I've read on here a few times in the last month about these push-presses. I'm gonna have to give em a try. My shoulders are lacking.

:p That's funny bc I was thinking the same thing.

I also wanted to tell you. I use overhead squats as my warm ups now. Really quick way to get blood in the body. Good shit :beer:
 
So my heavy reps on seated shoulder press reach 3-5 @ 170lbs. After warmups I start with like 2 sets of 8-10 at 135. What weigth should I start out with on these?


Just do a clean and then press it right?

Power clean and press. :)

I would start out using 100. You can always go up. :)
 
so just clean it up to the chest position and press it up... easy enough, although my clean form is disgusting.

I wish it was that easy. lol But then hey, everyone would be doing it.

i like push presses a lot

i start with a set of high reps and clean every one, then do 3 sets adding weight each time and only cleaning the first rep, then do one last set when im dead of light weight again cleaning every rep


makes the shoulders cry !@
 
what happened to the pink dumbells:D . Good numbers, only do clean and jerk after I am all done as to get the blood flowing. Other than that I find seated works better for me
