Bodyopus

I bought one of the first copies of his book years ago. A lengthy read to say the least. Yes, the diet works. It is basically the same as the Anabolic Diet, but has a more detailed carb up. Both are hard for me. I'd rather do an Isocaloric diet and take a few weeks longer, than feel like shit all week. If you're in a hurry though, two thimbs up!

I followed the diet for three weeks many years ago and got good results. However, I don't do well on ketogenic diets, I feel like crap. Also, as with most ketogenic diets it can cause insulin insensitivity and you can suffer from a rebound weight gain if you increase your carbs too quickly after coming off the diet, which is what I experiencedI would increase your carbs to 10% the first week off and then add 10% per week until you reach your desired percentage. I've found the most effective diet for my metabolism is to decrease carbs to around 200g per day, that way i don't feel like total crap.

This is my favorite diet of all time for leaning up! Only things I change are the durations of my carb-up from 48 hours----->12-30 hours (which will of course push the ketogenic phase to 6 days instead of 5...common sense), and the workout program. I only workout with weights Monday and Tuesday (half the body each day) and Saturday, which is the depletion workout. I follow a workout scheme that Lyle MvcDonald used in his 20 week bodyopus diet.

i did bodyopus for 3 months a coupl years ago and was veiny like never before and ripped but after so long i felt weird always being in ketosis. ive done the diet a few times since and the first week or two it is easy and works fast but now i follow my own training schedule except for carb up. i dont do the diet anymore because although it works fast, its unrealistic long term and there is a rebound similar to clen when you go back to carbs and you eventually lose a lot of muscle

Is there anyplace on the net that gives us the detailed diet?

I know the anabolic diet has its web page and I assume its basically the same info.

I've used both the Body Opus and the keto diet on Ef's website. I'm in my second week of the one on EF. I have been using the insulin at the end of the carb-up do get me in Ketosis quicker. Would not attempt it without a glucometer and much research.

Yeah, bodyopus works great. I love it. But the carb-up is so important. You have to follow it exactly to get the best results. And that does mean waking up every two hours in the middle of the night. Taking in the exact g of liquid carbs for the first few hours, no solid food. Is it tough? Yes! Does it work? Yes! The only draw back was I found that I had real bad B.O. while on the diet. I mean REEEEEEEEAL bad that deoderant didn't work! But that went away after going off for a few weeks. Anybody else experience this?

thanks

now a crazy question would you even do it with DNP.

Just a thought without any real considerations tho.

I've tried the diet on several occasions, each time with an increase of fat around my waist. I've gone from 0 carbs to 30g (Anabolic Diet) and I can't lose w/the high fat intake.

You may be taking in too much fat. What percentage of your diet is fat when on the diet?
