body for life anyone?

I have been on the body for life 'program' for a couple of weeks ... has anyone else tried it? So far, I am finding it to be very easy to follow.
cheers

its a training regime. good for beginners since it spells things out, also forces you to be aggressive and not just do 3x15, next 3x15, next.

It got my gf motivated. Some of the shit I don't agree with, but it helps the learning phase. Do what ever works for ya!

I've read about everything but the training part. I skimmed it, it looks like its tailored for the average joe. But at least you can learn something from it.

I can't stand it, but I've been training for years, so it was pretty much useless for me. The thing I LIKE about it, is that it gives the beginner a reasonable approach to make real progress in the gym. An excellent substitute for ACE trainers. You'll at least make some progress with the former while the latter will just behave as a wallet vacuum.

There's a guy at my gym who does it. He's a big fan, always advertising. I have to admit he's pretty buff too, 6'1" 235ish about 10%BF, not bad for brief, simple workouts. Plus, he indicates that it ties diet and training together in the program. He looks a little goofy with the Flav-o-Flav stopwatch around his neck to time the intervals, or whatever you BFL people do?!? But he is making good progress, and, in general, structured programs are good to not waste time. I personally prefer stints of Westside and HST for now, but most individuals I know who do Body for Life look good, do well, and serve as good ambassadors for the system. It has me curious. I say give it a try and let us all know!

It definetly is a great beginner program. That is what got me started and taught me nutrition basics and lifting.

I made my mom do this. She has been getting horrible advice her whole life (a la Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig) with no mention of exercise and just ended up fatter and fatter with a demolished metabolism. BFL has worked wonders for her. It's not very useful for a seasoned bodybuilder, but for your average Joe, it's a great starting point. And for anyone that isn't planning on being a professional gymrat, it's a sensible, well rounded program to live by. My $0.02

My mom saw GREAT results on this program - though she was never really overweight, but just wanted to lose some body fat. I think the diet is the most effective part of this program, and then the motivation the reading gives you. Its a great program for beginners.
