Well I called in sick today mainly because I need a break and a days rest will probably get me over my illness. Not only do I not get a day off I am getting sent to god damn fucking shithole sheridan wyoming. I'm beginning to remember why I hated this job the first time around.

Cheers,

do you know how to say NO? You need your rest, and if you were local I'd make you a homeaid soup and hook ya up tuts.

If things keep going this way next friday is my last day. Man I wish I could get some of that soup right about now. :coffee:

That sucks. I'd package up a box of illness & mail it to the boss.

Oh no our new boss took his vacation and fucked over the rest of us. He may get a good helping of knuckle sandwich soon. Or at least whenever he finally gets back.

I knew you were feeling bad already yesterday..being sick sucks. Thank God I hardly ever have to deal with it. When I do get sick, I still feel obligated to come into work because I never feel like the little turd of a boss would believe me. Last year I came into work and the employees actually forced me to go to the dr....I ended up having 104 temp! I got some kick ass cough syrup though and went back to work till the boss finally gave me the okay to go home. I never leave this god forsaken hell hole....I so feel your pain..and mine is 14 years worth!!!

Hope you feel better soon!

Sometimes we need to break off ties and tend to ourselves. Not easy at all esp when we are used to the motion of life. Your health is way more important. I wish I could cook you up a good soup right now, even a damn good gumbo... Ya need to come visit!

I am the same way I normally have to be sent home from work. The reason I wanted to rest was I have had four days off since Oct 2, and there is nothing to do at the office now anyway. Well except go to wyoming.

Thanks, I'll be alright in a day or two.

If I can stick this out for a few more months I'll be debt free and have a new car which I desperately need. It's hard to turn down the money I am making now.

MMMMMMMMM GUMBO. I'll make it down there as soon as I get a chance, probably springtime. I can always visit my cousins in Arkansas and hop down to LA for a day or two.

Well, get well soon! :rose: :rose: :rose:

And as coon ass as I am, I have never mastered the art of cooking gumo! WTF? and I am a great cook.

Yeah last year I used 5 of my 15 days off, and billed for 3,600 hrs, probably worked over 4,000 though.

sweets... come over... that is one of my meals that I have perfected! I cooked Gumbo a few nights ago for my beau and his friend. Along with a three cheese bread and Potato Salad. It was great!

When you come down I can cook it and go from step to step with you, even share some of my secrets with you. You will be quite suprised at how damn easy it is to make a knock out Gumbo.

They pay us for unused vac, one of their few redeeming policies towards vacation time.

Just remember gumbo is all in the rue.
