bloodwork question

i've seen alot of comments on bloodwork recently. i've never had it done. what do you learn from it? how do you get it done? what sort of bloodwork do you ask for? do you have to go to a dr? what about insurance and anything 'abnormal' showing up in the blood? is it expensive? any info is appreciated.

Or you could just have a dr do it and ask him to check you cholesterol and go ahead and check your kidneys and liver while hes at it. Hell have no problems doing that. Now when your hdl comes back as 4 he may have questions.lol

Another thing that could be important with blood work is to check estrogen levels for you guys prone to gyno.
