Blood Volume Workouts

Looking for opinions on blood volume workouts. This was a new term to me but it was explained to me that blood volume workouts are geared to build your muscles by forcing more blood to muscles therefore forcing more capillaries to be created.

Less weight and higher reps are used.

Is there any truth to this?

Forcing more blood to the muscles - possibly, creating more capillaries - definitely not. This circles back to one of BBing myths which was addressed in a post a while back that less weight/higher reps are good for cutting/growth. Will you get a pump out of this type of workout, definitely, but if you're looking to gain mass and get stronger there's no way this is going to work.
