blood tests can't show kidney damage?

doc says damage to nephron filters in kidneys can happen gradually over time and show no abnormalities on blood tests (bun, creatinine,....). Basically, said that kidneys can be damaged until they fail with NO symptoms and the kidney cells cannot be repaired or rejuvuinated like liver cells can. I always felt safe when blood tests came back fine, but now any kidney pain scares the hell out of me. How can you know if your damaging your kidneys so you can stop before its too late???

If you are that worried I would just stop taking any harsh 17 aa's like Dbol, Anadrol, etc....

i wonder how many people could be screwed and not even know it...maybe not today but later down the road or maybe tomorrow? i always believed that blood tests would cathch any damage before it was an issue, now i dont know what to go by
