Blood testing

Hi,

My name is Rich,

I been lifting for a few years now.

I'm here mostly to read and learn.

I had a question regarding an earlier post titled:
''Blood testing and the Elite Fitness Online Forum''

This was done by a member by the name of ''drjmw''.
The date of the post was 1 August 2004....

Basically, he offered to perform bloodtesting via Quest Diagnostics.
You'd make the arrangements with him and he'd write an order or whatever so that you could go to the nearest Quest Diagnostics and get a full bloodwork.

Then he'd go over the results with you.
He left his email.
It was on a ''hushmail'' account.

I tried to email him but it didn't go, I got an error that his account was closed or something...

Does he still offer this?..

I'm assuming that it is all very legal..otherwise I would not ask in the open like this.

I thought that maybe he has a new email...I tried going to his member profile to see if his email changed but it looks like his account here is now closed.

If he's not around, does anyone else do this?....
I know a lotta dr's locally are kinda wierd about ordering one of these blood tests and its good to get hold of a dr. who is sympathetic to the cause of Lifting....

Does anyone else on this board do this kinda thing....

You can go directly to the site and register, pay and get tests done locally without having to go through someone online. Seems fishy to go through someone else.

My problem is that I am due for a cycle in three weeks but I cannot get a visit with my doc in time (darn docs are always booked). I got my blood tests taken in December but I want to get it done immediately before my cycle so I am going to cancel my appointment with my doc and go through Quest. They have a local office here so I can order online and then go in and get my lab work - all without seeing my doc. Insurance may not cover this but $100 for what I need is easy and I do not need to deal with the hassle of waiting etc.
