Blood Donor...Good or Bad

alstroboy

New member
I have become a blood donor...giving every two months and was wondering if anyone thought it would be contrary to my weightlifting. My red cells were too high and my GP suggested blood donation as remedy. I just don't want to contradict my steroid use. Any thoughts greatly appreciated. P.S. I am 57 yrs of age.

I'm not sure but I heard it can be a good thing especially if you have eq in your cycle. It should help to thin out the blood a little bit. I can't see that it would be detrimental to your cycle.

if you are using AAS, your donated blood will be worthless, as far as i know. thats why they ask you "have you ever done steroids" lol.......

I have already given once and they accepted it because I was called 2months later as they told me i could give again......so guess what you are saying isn't true......about the AAS....

I donate fairly regularly and get called back, they're concerned with diesease prevention, but you definitly dont want to donate while on cycle.

Donating is a great way to lower your RBC count, HCT and iron, in fact for men it is about the only way for lowering it.
