Bizarre religious folks outside....

I have no idea what possible holy day this is or what these people are doing.....but the church bells are ringing off the hook & this HUGE group of people are in the street outside, with insence, the priests, statues, etc praying in the street in front of the house across the street.

They do this every year and I still think it's strange.....

You can hardly do anything outside without someone driving up & beeping -- THAT would be funny....

Nope, no shut ins.....

They set up a table with a white cloth on their front porch....walked up the street singing and had a tent-type thing they were carrying. The priest went up onto the front porch & prayed, I guess. Big group of people....

And they always do this in front of my neighbor's house....

Ascendion day was May 5, 40days after easter

I'm sorry, its Corpus Christi day, I'm a lapsed catholic not a practicing one. Are they Mexican or Central or South American? Possibly Spanish? Pretty holy day to them, where they carry the Eucharist outside the church to show to the people, hence the tented Monstrance, and the big procession.

Nope, they are not Spanish in any way.....they are Catholic.....

I guess it was May 5th when they did the 1st procession.....another today....tehy stayed about 10 mins or so, then left....
