i am going to Mx for a wk in July and i need a legit birth certificate for entering their country. I seem to have misplaced mine . How do i obtain another one?

As long as you were born in one of the 50 states or one of the US territories such as Puerto Rico, you contact the vital statistic offices in the city you were born in to obtain a certified copy of your birth certificate with a raised seal. It usually cost $5.00. You can request it in person or via mail.

Your mom or dad can get one at city hall if they still live near the town you were born in. Otherwise you'd have to fax them a copy of your driver's license and a couple of other things.
