Was thinking about you yesterday.

Nongay way for once. I went out to the Bass Pro Shops for some Xmas shopping, while wandering around, I thought "damn, if I had to take refuge in a building during the Zombie outbreak, this is where I would want to be."

Tons of guns, bows, crossbows, knives, rope, etc.. Prestocked aisles of nonperishable food. Resturant with solar generator to run the grills and shit. Shooting range upstairs in sound proof room. Arcade. You could clean the floor out and ride 4 wheelers around and shit. In case the inch thick security doors or unbreakable windows are shattered and the store breached, you could preload one of their boats with weapons, food, and shit and have it waiting on the launch track for the escape by water route.

It beats Walmart by a mile. Though you would probably have to go in and pull a Duke Nukem on the rednecks that would be there before you.

did you see the pics of my zombie hideout? i made a thread about it, i'll post the link.
but i think you are getting "take refuge" twisted with "gearing up"
i don't think a store like that would be a good spot to bed down for a while, waaay too many openings/exits/glass windows.
how would you guard everything? i'd be difficult and i think you'd get overwhelmed.
a good spot to gear up, a bad spot to have as a homebase

Well they only have 3 entry points, main entrance, resturant, boat launch. All which are shut by roll down door and then reenforced metal gate. The windows are about 60 feet above the ground, just basic skylights, which unless you have a 50 cal. you are not going to break through those. Overall, a couple of people could easily secure the site and stay safe provided you there were not any zombies inside when you got there or an unruly crowd of mean ass humans.

that's pretty fuggin hardcore then
the white house of zombie survival...with all the available gear/weaponery, you could mount outside attacks.

ROFL, I checked out the link, Cal21 wrote about living in the city, he said that he wouldn't have a chance because of the "sea of zombies", LOL
I can see a new band name or at least a song! Sea of Zombies! maybe by Rob Zombie!! LMAO

You could also live on the beef jerky, trail mix and dehydrated meals they sell to hikers.
