Anybody used it? What were your results? I'm trying to get my friend to stay with a diet routine. She does great, then falls off and then goes back on, then off. Sea-saw. I think if she can find something half-way easy to follow, then she'll be able to stay on it and lose the weight she wants. She works very hard in the gym lifting heavy weights, going to failure, etc. But the diet is the hard point.

I've used it in the past, you should check over at leanandstrong.com, they have pictures and about 90% of them are on BFL. Also Jen BFL from Elite used it.

ive been planning to buy that book and give it to a gf of mine who want to get serious about training and diet. does it explain why and what about everything? cuz she needs to learn for herself whats the best to do, and not. and as much as i try, the knowledge is best if she knows it herself, and i dont have to guid her every step.

yeah i hope she does. i hope the fact thats in english doesnt set her off..now that she is back with her asshole bf again she might give up training again just to pamper his sorry ass and pay his bills again. i'll give it a try tough.

I agree it's an excellent starting point and very easy. You just eat six meals carbs the size of your fist and protein the size of your palm and follow the workout plan, which is three days of lifting and 3 days of HIIT cardio. Then you can eat as many vegetables as you want. There's really no thinking, which is just perfect for those that need a starting boost. No weighing out your chicken or measuring out your rice.

The book explains it all in good detail and it's semi-motivational to boot.

Never used it & never read it, but I my boss & a co-worker were doing it where I used to work.

Perhaps there is something to be learned from their failure, so I'll post it.

First, they were super strict & said NOT to eat a carb without protein. (sorry, if I ate a whole can of tuna at 12:00 & am hungry at 2:00, I don't see a problem with having an apple then & nothing more!). They also didn't like eating so many times a day & couldn't make it last past about 3 weeks, so instead of eating 1 or 2 *less* meals per day - they dropped it altogether (probably common mentality).

They also got a bit fanatical - acting as if this was the ONLY way to exercise & eat. Of course, that probably doesn't have anything to do with the book - but we all know an open mind is a good thing & variety in training is also vital.

I guess my experience listening to them (after having endured their crap 6 mos prior when they did Atkins & told me carrots & wheat bread would make me fat) turned me off a bit.

p.s. My old boss is at the same weight now over a year later, & the female co-worker is even more obese - (but they dropped it, so I'm not saying it doesn't work) .

Ive read the book....I usually recommend this to my beginner friends.....I think the plan is pretty solid...disagree w/some things, but overall its ok....

A couple at the gym followed the plan to a tee...they took before/afters....the after pics were great!!
