Bill Mahr = Shithead.
I think the thread title says it all.
Those of you who stick up for the jackass to speak his mind...fine, he has every right to do so in this country. It's just unfortunate that he is nationally televised when doing so. He's an asshole, pure and simple.
And Shrebly, he doesn't just "throw out topics" to his guests to debate. He's always very active in the conversation, spouting his opinion on the topic. I haven't watched his show very often, and that's because every time I do, some dumbfuck comment he makes pisses me off. Every so often he'll get a smile or nod from me, but then I can always bet on him making a jackass of himself 5 minutes later. If I ever happen to stop the channel on his show, I'm moving on within 5-10 minutes at most. Nobody was taking those lines out of context...that's very difficult to do when he was so blatantly obvious...for all intended purposes (I'm sure) he was telling America to bend over so he could shove it up our asses. I'm sure May1010 would've dropped 'em and bent over to Bill.
And May, WE HAVE EVERY "WRIGHT" TO TRY AND SILENCE HIM...THAT COMES WITH BEING AMERICAN AS WELL!
I agree, he does love to play Devil's Advocate...maybe he wants the attention, but the hell if that's the kind of attention most of us would ever want. He enjoys pissing people off. He enjoys "going against the grain".
If someone took a sniper rifle to his temple, I'd not feel an ounce of sorrow for him. Whatd'ya say Chesty?

I totally agree that he has a right to free speech.
Just as people have the right to boycott his sponsors products and services.
But he should have known better than to use what a lot of Americans (high on stress right now) would view as inflammatory remarks. Virtually everyone has an American flag in their hand, on the cars, etc. and he uses that terminolgy for our military/soldiers? Just throw gas on a fucking fire why don't you?
My opinion, just like many others in the media/entertainment industry he got his name in the papers. Whats the old saying?

His ratings are up for his time slot and his producers are riding the wave of controversy. Folks, remember what medium we're talking about, television, not the best instrument for measuring intelligence. Just my opinion.

It is about time that little liberal utopianist gets recognized for being an idiot. He is a socialist that believes everyone else should be one too. He has no clue. He has made equally stupid statements in the past, it's just that this one finally got exposed as being as idiotic as it was.
He stacks the sides so unfairly in favor of liberals that it is sickening. He'll bring on some weak minded conservative and sic three liberals that are well versed and very aware of the topics that will be discusssed prior to the show. He si NOT right. He wants to push big government on everyone whether they like it or not. He feels that he is so righteous that his way of thinking needs to be put into law. Fuck freedom, eh?

Ever notice how liberals are usually substandard? Little, puny, funny looking or ungifted in some physical manner??? No wonder they abhor the thought of anything "survival of the fittest", they couldn't keep pace and they'd lose.

J-Ro is right on here. Maher has constantly bitched about how pussy the US military has gotten because of the overly liberal policies that act to lower the bar so that all the weak little shits can feel like they belong where they really don't.

The US army has been so feminized that it has been reduced to primarily lobbing cruise missles and relying on technology as opposed to the kind of hands on brutality that is real true war.
I don't care what any of you say, I consider it to be a cowardly (but tactically intelligent) act to sit on a battleship and fire missiles rather than get in there and show the bastards what a bayonet is really for. An intelligent coward would stand 1000 miles away and press a button, but a true soldier would stand toe to toe with his enemy and look him in the eye.
There is no honor in simply pressing a button.

its not the fault of the men and woman in the military that the govt has done this to them. i think you missed the GD point! bill maher should have not used the word military in is statement, thats what people are pissed off about. and just because people have an opinion doesnt make them sheeple. and as far as your superior attitude,....go fuck yo mutha!
