It was on my VCR tape after the "Tribute to Heroes", so I watched.....

Wow. He was so contrite, so obviously saddened that he might have inadventently contributed to America's sadness. But he was intelligent. He clarified the mess and stuck to his guns on his original point.

HOWEVER, to the people in the "Bill Maher = shithead" thread who either condemned/defended him but said that lobbing missiles from 1,000 miles away was INDEED COWARDLY, because a "soldier" get up close and fights.....

Oh my god! This is not a Sylvester Stallone movie! This is not a knight's joust! Okay, you have guts and some medieval-era sense of combat etiquette, but do you have BRAINS?

Just like you have to lift smart at the gym, you have to fight smart, too. Can't just puff out your chests, say "But they weren't cowards!" as you send more and more condolence letters to the families and realize that somehow, in spite of your know-how and might, you are still LOSING this war. I saw the show that everyone is talking about & heard what he said & knew EXACTLY what he meant. Here's my problem.......Everyone is behind our government now & are being supportive & thats great. That is exactly what happened and I wrote more on it in the other thread.

Anyway, America NEEDS to get up close and fight. Lobbing cruise missle only results in people getting pissed off, and won't solve anything., We have to be able to go in with soldiers and snuff out the problem. We have to be willing to lose men, not fight a P.C. war.

1. You OBVIOUSLY did NOT see the show in question,& are just going by some bullshit version of what really happened! That is what we call an UNEDUCATED OPINION.

2. IF YOU WOULD HAVE WATCHED the show(which you did not), then you would have known that Bill Mahar absolutely 100% did NOT use the word military as if it were a plural at all. In fact, he never even said the word military! What he said was the "WE" were the cowards for lobbing cruise missles & for not sending in ground soldiers to fight these people. Now when he said "we", anyone with 1/2 a brain knew that he was referring to the people who give those orders(politicians) & NOT the people who carry them out(soldiers).
