Bike insurance

how the hell do you guys afford it?

I was looking around at quotes for a gsx r 600 and got a 11 grand quote for fucking insurance.

how is that reasonable?

Guess I might get a marauder instead

mine runs about 90.00 per month...for my 1000RR.
but i have no tickets , no accidents. no personal residence. no ID. no name. no dog.

thats pretty cheap, but I bet you have been riding for years, I dont have my bike licence yet and would only be getting it if I can get a good rate on insurance.

Im actually thinking of getting a new shadow 500, I love the styling

Everyone I know who has a crotch rocket ends up either getting into trouble or risking their life running from the cops to avoid trouble.

id do stupid shit on a crotch rocket, but i may end up changing my mind, who knows
bro...really if you are into this kind of "cruiser" do yourself a big favor- get a HARLEY....seriuosly. if you bought this bike and didnt like it- you'll have a tuff time selling it...you'll be very bored with a small displacement bike rather quickly...this bike has exact lines of the "Dynas" by HARLEY...look into it. as far as "cruisers" go, id pick the Yamaha "Warrior" if i wanted to stay with Jap bikes....I'd go back to the HD "Fat Boy" when the time comes for me to be too old to do what i do....

I pay about 50 dollars a month for full coverage

I had an 1100rt that i sold a few yrs ago. I dont think I payed more than 40 bucks/month...it was a sports touring bike though so maybe that was why.

whats the price difference between that and a harley?

that bike i posted is also the 750 which im now leaning towards as i think id outgrow a 500 too quick

i looked into that and there is like a 12 grand difference between the shadow and the harley, way outta my price range

It's because u will probably die and they will pay out. Buy a hog. My Harley was like $40 a month.

ya know them assholes you see doing standup wheelies next to you down the highway? Thank them. With the big finger.

100 bucks a month isn't bad, I pay about 130 for my cobra full coverage.

I pay a hundred less than that with a DUI. Not bragging. Just the facts maam.

ya well thats full coverage..,mine is 4K a year on a 2005 raven r6 ... full

i didnt have full on my kawa...that i totalled

or the other kawa i totalled lol

want to buy a 2005 raven r6? mint ..well its has been abused but still mint looking

I have stste farm, and i have my bike "stacked" under my car, so its only 180 every 6 months. U gotta make sure u have a competent agent/agents employee though, cuz my dad has the same bike and some agent, but the woman who helped him didnt know about it and said you cant do it, even though I already had a policy that did.

yep, same bike here.....i checked all over the place adn state farm was teh cheapest for me.....65 bucks a month, but again i have clean record also(knock on wood)

tip for you oak, when you run these quotes online for a bike they are way high like that

progressive quoted me 10,000 per year also online

try a state farm in your area

I pay $600 a year for full cov. on my R1 with State Farm, thay are the cheapest I ever could get for Full Cov. all I had to do is switch my car over to them too............

Good Luck bro
shop around 1st

State Farm is cheapest

i know a bunch of peeps that ride and they all pay 1k -2k year full coverage depending on the points they have.

Oak, maing, go to State Farm and they will give you a good deal if you have your car insured through them too.

state farm quoted me 400 bucks a month for my car, they can suck and egg

Oak do you have your full G? You wont get a good rate on bike insurance tell you are over 25 and have a full M.

Yup makes a big diffrence. I still have to do my full G I am not looking forward to that as I don't drive very often anymore. I know tons of people failing the G since it is a private testing company doing it now.

yep, when i turned 26 my bike insurance went down over 75 bucks a month

just got my bill last night, i pay 56.00/mo on my cbr1000 for full coverage through state farm.....they weren't the cheapes for auto insurance, GEICO was, but statefarm will not insure a bike with no car on teh policy, at least in NC anyways, so i switched my two cars there and saved money overall, plus got a multicar discount
