I have an assignment due tomorrow in one of my classes. My journalism professor wants to know what we consider to be the biggest news stories of our lifetimes. For me this would be roughly the last 21 years. What are your ideas? I have a couple, but I would like some more input. Thanks.

I'd try and come up with something original like some rock movement or some shit and then explain how it affected the entire world. I'm sure you can do that. Go with the rap explosion in the US like with Public Enemy and De La soul or something. Then explain how that culture has permeated almost every facet of life in some way or form, leading to gangs which led to like the LA riots, etc. Or talk about, fuck I forget their names, but the rap group who did "Me so horny", they put out the first lyrically explicit album and there was a huge fuss and hence censorship came about in a more public way. I'm not blaming rap for anything here. Just trying to help.
