BigCracker said:you can always save a few bucks by buying Fish Antibiotics from the pet store instead of filling the RX for antibiotics your DR gives you. It's the exact same shit. RX companies sell their broken/imperfect pills to companies that re-tab them for use in fish tanks. Of course on the package it will say "not for human consumption" but then again, EQ bottles have the same warning and that doesn't seem to scare anyone.
I've used fish antibiotics myself for years instead of filling my Dr's RX when I'm sick. Amoxicillin, Erythromycin, Penicillin, etc., can all be bought at Petsmart for about 50%-75% less than what you'd pay at the RX. Don't expect your Dr to back me up on this though-he receives $$$ kickbacks from RX companies based on the volume of products he prescribes to patients, so naturally he's going to say your nuts for even considering this. !

Also, if you tan you might wanna take a break from it, or at the very least, reduce your exposure time. Antibiotics can increase your sensitivity to sunlight/tanning beds big time.
FYI-Do you have health insurance? If not, you can always save a few bucks by buying Fish Antibiotics from the pet store instead of filling the RX for antibiotics your DR gives you. You're right. Its the same stuff. I saved my family alot of money by filling our prescriptions while I was at work. lol Amoxicillin, Erythromycin, Penicillin, HUGE 800 mg Ibuprofen, and even prednisone for my little brother's asthma. Its all the same, bros. The only difference was the bottle it came in and the fact that they don't have any kind of coating. I guess they don't care if the stuff makes the dog's stomach ache. Hell, he can't complain anyway.
glennds said:if this is true, you may need to buy a lot of fish erythrmycin to meet the proper dosage for a human being. think about it...what kind of dosage would be used for a two inch fish?![]()
