I trained with him for awhile as well. A bunch of us trained at Mike Katz's gym in Connecticut. Myself, Tony Atlas, Rocky Johnson, Don Morrocco, Eddie Gilbert, Curt Hennig, Ivan Putski, Superfly Jimmy Snuka, etc, etc.

It was the place to train when we were on the northeast circuit. The gyms were much better back in those days and so were the wrasslers. I hate what the gym industry has become these days. Nothing but fluff clubs. I now train in my garage.

Ivan Putski was my hero back in the day. Haystacks Calhoun was funny too, as well as George The Animal Steele!
