Check out Ronnie's pic, campare him to Jay, and then ask yourself do they represent what is pleasing about the enhanced natuaral male body, and male bodybuilding and the legacy that that Frank and Arnold left behind. Or is it just like watching a competition between two cartoon characters.
I dont mean to offend, just to bring about brainstorming and ideas of what is our collective idea of what the perfect male or female body looks like. That is after all what we are all striving for perfection? Is it not?
No such thing.....as toooo big.anabolic12 said:That is just way to big... I respect him for what he does, but damn, that is just to big..

cranny said:How about this comparison? Todays BB'ers are truely impessive but I would have to say I would much rather see it go back to the way it was when Arnold was competing. It's such a better look IMO. Just look at the waist comparison in these 2.

Not a good analogy. Sprinters do not have weight classes. Or if they do, sprinting is all about speed, weightlifting was never about size only, but rather muscularity, definition, proportion, symmetry. Bodybuilding has to do with aesthetics, perfection, not sheer mass. Unless you want to create your own sport, like going from boxing to ultimate fighting. Going from bodybuilding to massbuilding.bw1 said:I know wtf? Too big? Like saying a sprinter is to fast...

All the guys are massive, but the mass monsters win over the more proportioned guys, I think that's the point ppl are making about Ronnie. He looked better when he first appeared on the scene. Arnold kept refining whereas guys today keep pushing the envelope in terms of sheer mass. I think a lot of it has to do with new drugs, supplements, etc. But if you get excited by sheer mass, then I see why Ronnie or Jay Cutler is your guy.bw1 said:Sure no weight classes in sprinting, I agree. But this is the fucking Olympia...The big show. The bigger the better. Yes you want to have the "total" package...But that package includes size.
I agree 100% Size rules! booya!bw1 said:Sure no weight classes in sprinting, I agree. But this is the fucking Olympia...The big show. The bigger the better. Yes you want to have the "total" package...But that package includes size.
