I like squating and having strong, defined quads and hams (note: I didn't say big), but I don't like having a big ass b/c of it. Unfortunately for me (fucking genetics), this is exactly what happens to me. Yet another one of the ironies of life... the one muscle group of mine that I have no problem making grow is my goddamn glutes. A friend of mine once told me that I have a "booty like a black girl." Is there any leg routine that I can do to maintain strengh and definition in my quads and hams, WITHOUT affecting my already large ass? Thanks bros.
 
Do you shoot your injections in your glutes. If so move them. I have the same problem and after I stopped shooting in the glutes it got better.

No, I stay away from glute injections for this very reason. Get this, I had to quit working out for like 2 months recently (had surgery)... guess which is the only muscle group that didn't atrophy? That's right: my friggin glutes. So until I figure out a "glute-sparing" leg routine, I've stopped working out lower body altogether. Help anyone?
 
always use a board or wear boots when you squat to elevate your heels. When you do this it puts much more emphasis on the quads and you'll be able to move more weight. Also one and a quarter squats and front squats are good at putting focus on the quad muscles.
 
BRO I have the same problem. I recently stop doing squats. I now do Hack Squats, Leg Press (feet together), Leg Ext., Front Squats every few weeks.
I also have Larger Upper quads, and will (later) do some Partial Squats.
I was told by my trainer that I squat like powerlifter, and that the habit is hard to break. He told me try to relearn the squat with light weight. But I have 5 months before Contest Prep. so I don't have time to try to relearn how to squat.
Try so of these exercise.
