biceps problem question

hi guys, i have a question about biceps training... for some years now i could never really train them hard, always seemed i would have to cheat the weight up once i got over 100lbs. whether bb or db curls. i've noticed that when my curl gets to the top position my wrist starts to give and loses strength.
i started doing reverse curls and hammer curls with no trouble with the same weight, even more on hammers. i regularly do standing wrist curls with the bb hanging behind my back with 145 x 12 reps and palm facing down wrist curls off my knee with 25x12, cant do more than that.
any ideas what could cause this problem?

i used to have weak wrists too but somehow i woke up one day and they were strong enough to keep up with whatever i threw at them. it's weird how that worked out, but do your wrists feel like they might pop or dislocate?

Increase the weight slowly week-to-week on the wrist curl exercises. Progressive resistance will help you build that strength up. And make sure your form is good.

As far as grip strength goes, I racked up a BB with like 3`5 way back when and would grab it as tight as I could nad hold on until I had to drop it. I did this maybe three times at the end of my workout twice a week or so. Eventually I could hold onto a lot more weight for a lot longer.

i only have the problem with db curls or bb curls. its something in the hand position as my arms gets past parallel to the top that makes it feel like my wrist is losing strength. did hammer curls 50lbs and reverse curl 110 lbs no problem today. doing the same with bbcurl and i wouldnt be able to finish the set. gonna try working on my forearm strength more.
