Bicep Help

New member
im having a little trouble with my biceps.

I have been lifting for just about 18 months and i have been making good progress, but i notice now that my right bicep is significantly larger and stronger than the left bicep. I am not exactly sure how to go about fixing this problem.

My routine has changed many times in the past 18 months, but right now i work my biceps twice a week (monday+thursday). On monday i do legs and afterwards i throw in the biceps and do
standing barbel curl
preacher curl
one arm concentration curl

thursday is my back day so biceps get desroyed there and afterwards i do the Luke Flanagan bicep workout

i would appreciate it if anyone could offer some advice.

thanks

Keep adding weight to your pulls - Deadlift, Power Clean, etc, and your arms will even out. ALl that isolation work is a waste of time: standing barbel curl, preacher curl,
one arm concentration curl

Just pick one of those and do 3-4 sets of 10-12. Add weight to the lift weekly, and when you stall try for 15 reps, then go to a heavier weight the next week for 10, then 12, then 15, then more weight.

One exercise is plenty - and all these Pro BB's you look at grew thier arms w/ heavy rows, and heavy pulling from the floor, period.

al already said it... but don't forget pull-ups/weighted pull-ups and then a lil isolated work is fine but you really won't need much of it but I don't like to throw it out of the rotation... just not to be the main focus, especially when building mass!! but I do love my overhand curls!!

I like to get the 'pump' too.... but I write in my log: " Bicep Fagotry " (I swear), I still enjoy it.

Bicep training is a waste of time b/c bodies grow as a whole, not a part at a time like a lot of the M&F/Flex crowd has been duped into believing....lol

I hate to be such a cliché, but if you want big arms you should be squatting heavy. If you want 20'' guns your gonna need at least 30" legs!

lmao i have done/do similar things.

as for the imabalance, alot of people who are new to training (myself included) and even people who have been lifting for a while have problems.

alot of it could be in your head, but the body isnt perfect. sometimes even muscle shape is different (like my right bicep is just naturally fuller and shaped better than my left, which im stuck with :( ).

listen to the advice about keep lifting hard on your compounds, try and keep the weight balanced and perform your reps with good form. on stuff like dumbells, still push your ass to failure, even if one side is failing before the other. eventually the body will even out.

after 4 years i still feel like my left pec is bigger/shaped better than my right, my left bicep looks like a chunk is missing, my right quad teardrop looks better.
but all that also changes with different lighting.

just lift hard and keep progressing
