i got my bf% tested and it was at 11.8% it was tested with the electrical gaget,so im guessing its around 10-12%

but when doing that type of test does it matter if food was consumed about 1hr before the test?

he asked me my weight and height,he punched in the stuff and i had to grab the handles and hold in str8 in front of me and go down slowly

this looks similar to what he used to test me

how much accurate is it ?

dunno but he asked my weight ,i lied about maybe 5lbs higher because i didn't wanna seem like a SKINNY BITCH so im assuming its lower than 11.8%

why the hell would you lie to the guy giving you the test, whats the point of the test , dont you want it to be accurate?......thats a pretty "doofy" thing to do

I have, had a meter for a few years. They go off some personal data such as height, weight, age and sex. The machine sends electrical current thru your body. Your muscles will conduct electricy and your fat will not. I have done hydr tub, bod pod and digital scale testing and my meter is always within one percent. Now if you are dehydrated, your reading will be off, because water conducts electricity. But as a bodybuilder that should not be a problem, seeing how you should be drinking lots of water. The only other time, that the meter may read off, is when you have someone extremely short, like this guy in my gym, he weights 220 lbs, all muscle and is only 5ft. This is not normal for a guy of his height, and because of the person data, it assumes that he is fat. I highly recommend the meter for a person of average height.

I've had very good luck with my Tanita. It tells me I am skinny and I look the part. The lowest reading I have seen is ~4%. I usually add 2% to that number. I have a routine and I always weigh myself at the same time so the numbers are pretty accurate. I am usually well hydrated too.
