Well I've had this book for awhile now, and was finally able to dip into it as I had to make a quick business trip to San Diego.
Although I'm only halfway through, I have to say this book rocks - 450+ pages of all based around the basic theme of 'progressive resistance of the compound lifts'.
So he talks about using what he calls 'little gems' - basically microplates - to make slow steady progress. And he gives a lot of info on different way to set up training cycles, how to handle stalled lifts and so forth. Lots of inspirational and motivating stuff on how to keep your eye on the ball. But he always comes back to progressive resistance, patience, basic lifts.
Anyway, it's a great book. Easy to read as it's setup in an easy outline format so you can just pick up nuggets here and there, but I'm trying to read it straight through.
2 thumbs up, highly recommended.
