Better Program: Linear 5x5 or this 1+1...

Hi, cmarcell!

Well, I would choose the linear 5x5, because it worked very well for me...:)

This "skinny 1+1-programm" compared to the linnear 5x5 increases the volume weekly instead of adding a deload-/intensity-phase.
One Session (Friday?) in the last weeks of the programm obtains a lot auf hip-stuff und volume (7x7) and as the author mentioned in his articel, that's something pretty demanding.

If you have performed several linear 5x5-Phases und you just would like to change training a little bit, why not?

Greets,

C.

This is the link to another strength/size program. Sounds pretty interesting. Wondering, if you had to choose between this or the linear 5x5, madcow version, which would you choose?

Skinny Guys Must Play By A Different Set Of Rules

That BS statement alone is enough to tell you the article is crap and not to waste your time.

Wow, do you always take things out of context when making bold judgments like that? All he's saying is that the standard routines popularized by BBing mags, etc. don't work as well as routines focused on increasing strength.

Anyway....either routine is fine. The 5x5 is written out a lot more detailed, which is beneficial if you're just starting out, but either will produce results. If you're more excited about doing DelMonte's routine, then you'll probably get better results with it.
