Best Workout Music???

What music do you think is best to work out to?

Rock? Rap? R&B?

What songs in particular?

My gym plays some shit music...Maybe I can show them this.

****Just looking for everyone's $0.02****

Mp3

I cant wait for the portable Mp3 players to drop down in price. Since the are digital, they wont skip when exercising or lifting.

Since I was born in the 60's, my favorite kinds of music are more for relaxing. I find that some of the new stuff kids listen to now a' days, is some really intense stuff. (no wonder they are all crazy) Even though I can't understand half the stuff they are saying, it gets me pumped up! :teleport:

Like: Rage Against the Machine, Limpbiscuit(sp?), Corn, etc... :smash:

house...

House Music

Down load some music from, Jonathan Peters
get this song "without you" Ditgital Allies
try to get some of, Eddie Baez.

Complete Silence. I wear earplugs so I can't hear anything while I'm lifting...I completely foccus on the task at hand. Music distracts me, members talking distracts me, and even a load clank of the iron will break my foccus. I don't go to the gym to dance or to talk. I get pumped by the sight of the iron, not the music in any headphones.

DRUM N BASS BABY!! I can't believe no one here said JUNGLE/DRUM N BASS!! Can't get no hyper than that. I must look wierd in the gym tho... between sets, i'm bobbing my head to the bass lines like crazy!

I think silence leaves you to pay attention to how heavy the weight is. Fast, hard music gets my adrenaline pumping and actually helps me go longer durations and more reps. Hard shit like Powerman 5000, Disturbed, Creed, Alice in Chains, NIN, Marlyn Manson, and some other hard stuff...

I agree with a lot of your tunes!! If any of you are going to napster and looking for particular tunes!! Here are good ones!!! Really good ones!! I listen to thyem in my mp3 player!! You actually can get them for pretty cheap now!! Mine is so small, fits in the palm of my hand, cranks loud as hell, never skips, and i can make a new mix of whatever i feel like listening to anyday! It has really helped my workouts a lot! Especially if i have to train alone! Although the music at my gym is pretty good too!! These are adrenaline songs, and i will put some older ones in for the older people who train as i luv them all!
