best work schedule ever....

As many of you know, I have had to stay home to take care of my wife and baby for a while, due to a serious of surgeries my wife had to go through. She isnt quite done(but doing fine), but the time had come to get my ass back to work(of course just before two shows that I have been dieting months for).
So I walked into a part time interview for a job, thinking to just pick up a few hours. Well they call me back a day later, sit down with the director who I havent even met, and told me they didnt want to interview me for the full time, they wanted to convince me to have it, offering me more than the starting wage and all....(okay, enough bragging)
But the schedule, holy crap, I work 7 days on, 7 days off, thats it. Fri - thurs, with two full weeks off every month. Catch is those 2 weekends I work are 16 hour days, but who cares. I have all the time in the world for family, and bodybuilding. Laura Binettis structural routines are just sitting there waiting for me to start, now I can give them hell once the shows are over...
And they are social work jobs, psychotic teens on a huge farm, nothing physical.
By the next time I step on stage, baby its all over!!!

Congrats on the new job. It should be rewarding work too, make you feel like you are doing something important. The work might be pretty stressful though, so I would prepare myself for that. I am a teacher and working with kids can be stressful, and most of my students arent psychotic!

I've been working in accredited mental health centres with the 5% most difficult kids in the province since 1996, so this is nothing new

Congratulations on the job. THe best thing about your post is that your wife is doing fine. You seem like a great family man so good for you getting a job which allows you a lot of time with them.

Ah that might explain why they wanted you so bad! Sounds like you have good experience with this population.

That's gotta be great-especially if you have access to a fridge and microwave on site and you can eat whenever you want. There's nothing better than getting paid to eat right along with your regular job responsibilities.
