Best way to gain weight

what do i have to eat to gain weight .. .?? carbohydrates, protien... I have a very high metabolism ... I can eat anything with out worrying about a belly...

Heh. You have to eat when you don't feel like eating. Eat when the clock says it's time. And that should be every 2-3 hours for someone like you.

Lots of peanut butter is a handy helper.

I find that I can take in lots of liquid calories and get hungry again quickly, whereas a big solid meal leaves me full for a good while. I'm pretty much anti-supplement but things like MRPs and Muscle Milk can be just the ticket when it's brutal to eat as much as you need to. If you can get 3-4 meals down and another 3-4 shakes in, you can get loads of calories.

Let's see, I'm bulking and I ordered a 1 lb. burger at a restaurant the other night. I ate the whole thing and still wanted more. You should be getting to that point if you're on a bulk.

there's this article on t-nation, something about the "skinny bastard diet" by CY Wilson. just do a search and read that... i think that should be useful knowledge.

increase the number of calories per day that you eat by at least 500

More calories to put it as simply as possible. With a high metabolism and a problem putting on weight, don't get too caught up with 'bodybuilding diets' and being squeaky clean and eating nothing but chicken, broccoli, and brown rice.

Don't make your diet a dissertation for a doctorate degree in Nutrition. Just eat. I find most guys who claim to be hardgainers despite 'eating like a pig' really do not eat much at all. I have a friend who is 6'1 and weighs 155lbs and complains that he can't gain weight despite eating non-stop and having an ''appettite like a horse''.....well, a few weeks ago a bunch of us were out and he ordered a dozen wings, ate 6 of them, and took the rest home.....I told him I'd weigh 155 too if I ate like that (not that chicken wings are optimal nutrition, but you get my point).

Just slowly adjust to eating more. To feel your best, eating frequently is best, actually it really is optimal, but on the same hand it does increase the metabolism, just something to think about. 4 LARGE meals a day is fine for a skinny guy who wants to gain weight, as long as you feel stable throughout the day and you feel stable during workouts. If you don't have any stomach issues with milk, I can't say enough good things about it. Drinking a gallon a day sounds excessive and silly, and 99% of the people who hear this let to go in one ear and out the other, but a gallon of milk a day will bulk up just about anyone.

You don't need to be psychotic and run around with tupperware containers filled with brown rice and broccoli and become homicidal if you're supposed to eat at 12:00 and it is now 12:02 and you're stuck at a red traffic light.....just eat and eat a lot.....if you're out to eat, forget about doggie bags, eat all your food, then eat whatever your girlfriend leaves. Eat a huge breakfast, a big lunch, a small preworkout meal, a big dinner, and a small meal before bed drink a 1/4 gallon of milk with everything except the preworkout meal. Weight gainers add calories, and some, Muscle Milk comes to mind, taste excellent, but for someone skinny, a McDonalds Milkshake is just as effective and probably cheaper. Just some things to think through.

LOL, yeah when I am bulking and have a cheat day Ill order the following from Wendy's: 2 triples, large fry, and 2 broiled chicken breast sandwiches. At home if I grill up hamburgers, much thicker than Wendy's, I will eat about 5 of those. My 2 little girls and wife eat the other 2 hamburgers, lol.

LOL, i know what u mean biggt. i dont usually tell ppl how i gain fast.... but this is the major cause. i hardly get to see my girlfriend till the weekend and then we usually eat out when we do meet. she's just around 115lbs and still orders ton of stuff and then i eat 90% of that + whatever i ordered too... :Chef:
