Best way to clean a shaker?

So I often leave one of my shaker bottles in the car and needless to say, the next day or so it is not pretty. No matter how many times I wash it out I can still taste and smell some sour milk. Is there any quick way to clean it out and rid it of the taste and smell?

i let mine soak in soapy water
nothing reeks worse than stale protein drink

I fill mine with soapy hot water and stick one of those stick blenders in it for a few mins. Otherwise the dishwasher.

Dishwasher helps, but I found after 6 months toss it and get a new one.

May have to just do that..

Soaking it in soapy water doesn't do it, there are still bacteria trapped in some areas of it. Really pisses me off.. I might try that baking soda deal though
