Best Sunless Tanners...

I'm sure there is already a thread about this, but there are some brand new products out here, and wondered if anyone had any experience with them.

I just got Coppertone's Endless Summer, with the two-chamber deal, and I got results in thirty minutes, but it was a little streaky. The results were mild and golden (I used the light/medium kind), but seemed a little bit orangey. This might be because my skin is pretty pale at the moment.

I have dark hair and a few freckles, and I tan well, but I don't like to use tanning beds. I tend to get really scorched, and I don't have the money for the really expensive beds or the expensive lotions that keep this from happening...

Any favorite products for a less-streaky tan?

since i cannot be exposed to UV rays for medical reasons, i have no other choice BUT to use sunless tanners... i've tried many... the best IMO is the banana boat with color indicator (so you can prevent the streaky look) and see a bronzed color immediatly.. and the neutragena tanning foam is great too, it dries really quick which is good but leaves less time to fix errors and then more likely end up with some streaks, or maybe i am just slow  ...i think the banana boat leaves more of a brownish tan.. the neutragena is more golden... maybe its just my imagination  give them all a try.. see what works best for you :)

Protan. Goes on a bronzy color so u can see wher eu put it.

Thanks VLC, I've seen these products, but didn't really understand how they look. I really could have used it, because my legs look like a a calico cat. Ugh. :lmao:

I like the neutrogena sunless tanner with brozner. Makes you a nice color instead of orange...

I agree with whoever said Banana Boat - med to dark color

Ive used the one you have and did not like it...tooo streaky and orangy color, in my opinion....the more you use the easier it gets to apply

The protan goes on dark but that's just the application color. You have to wait like 6 hours, or sleep with it, and then you wash it off and have a nice color. Not too dark. What I like about it is it tends to be more reddish-brown toned than yellow/orangey. Pretty natural. I don't know about using it for competitions, since I don't compete.

Hi Lady M I love the banana boat too. It has color guard so you can see where you put it so it is easy to do cover ups in case you miss some spots. I like to let my stay on the skin for about 8 hours before I shower and it smooths out real nice afterwards. I have used it twice in 2 weeks now and I look like I went to the beach for a week. Nice bronze color with out a base tan. Happy Tanning ...Inkman69

Clarions self tanner is incredible stuff. Makes you look like you were in the sun, and not orange at all. Best one out there, BUT it is costly.. about $35.00 for a week's supply. It can be found at most department stores.

Since no one seems to carry the NON color indicator Banana Boat anymore, I broke down and bought myself some tanning jammies. They are navy blue so you don't see the stains and they protect my sheets too. I've tried just about every brand, and Banana Boat is the best value and best color for my normally corpse-like complexion. Another good color is Neutrogena mousse in the extra dark, but it doesn't last as long.
