Don't want to hijack, but to speak to boxerjakes post- I've seen guys that cycle, get big, stop working out and never seem to lose an ounce. AND I've seen myself lose muscle like crazy after a 4 month off period. In my case- if I don't work to keep it, I lose it. So it's a commitment in that sense, you have to take the ups (on the cycle and lifting like Hercules) with the downs (off for a while, no bridge, want to cry sometimes because it hurts).
