Best magazine out there?

hey guys. what is the best magazine out there as far as information about nutrition, diet, workouts, bodybuilding, etc. even if they don't mention that "AAS is required for this to work as we say" or whatever...

I need some bathroom reading and i'm looking at getting a few more subscriptions. Maxim only takes me 2 trips to the bathroom to read and I typically take more than 2 trips to the bathroom over the course of a month haha

Muscular Development is the best imho. Lots of good articles, they know what it takes to get big like the pros, and occasionally they put in spreads of hot fitness babes. It's what I read when I go to the pot!LOL

I second the Men's Health and Men's Fitness...it's more than just bodybuilding, it's all about healthy living. Let's face it, theres only so much left to say about bodybuilding. Every time I thumb through a copy of FLEX or Muscle & Fitness it's full of articles like "get huge biceps", and "add 20 lbs to your bench", then the article following it says "do some curls" and "switch types of bench press." These magazines are mostly full of b.s. adds for b.s. products. Granted, there are occasionally breakthroughs in nutrition, but really in the last 10 yrs what has there been? Creatine, nitrous oxide, IGF-1, prohormones...not really too much more thats substantial.
Don't get me wrong, I still find M&F and FLEX interesting, and I'll admit that they definately help give me motivation and occasionally give me new ideas for meals, but I don't really think they're worth the 10$ a issue that they cost.

Vogue

Well, a nice lil Playboy always does the trick for me. Other than that...I've always enjoyed reading Anabolic Insider, when available to swipe from my local gym.

Weights & Wimps (I'm on the cover this month w/ Ryan Seacrest)

Miniscule & Fatness

Seriously, imnsho-all BB magazines are good for is selling bullshit supplements that don't work while simultaneously writing articles that contradict one another to keep workout enthusiasts truly confused about the BB lifestyle. The less gains a person makes, the more likely they'll search for the magic pill or potion advertised in the magazine. When that doesn't work, they try another supplement, and so on...

Remember those 6 page Muscletech ads? Monthly cost for that ad is probably around $100K. That's a pretty big fucking monthly overhead if you ask me. Muscletech would have to sell an assload of product at wholesale prices to make that whopper of a bill. No wonder they're the most overpriced brand of BB supplements out there.

BB magazines are published to make $$$$-they are nothing more than catalogs with tidbits of worthwhile 411 hidden amongst a barrage of bullshit.

Elle

Field and stream always has little tidbits about staying in shape and good nutritional habits to follow during hunting season. :D

i hate F&S hehe..
I think i might get Muscular development :-) thanks guys.

gonna resubscribe to playboy too. Love their articles and the spreads are nice too. There are better magazines with naked chicks out there, but playboy probably has the best articles out of all of the porn mags.

Home and Garden

Muscular Development. I just picked up my first issue last week and I love it. There are too many advertisements (like most mags) but the articles are worth it.

Back in the early 90's and late 80's I like Muscle and Fitness and Flex but they have sold out - crappy articles and way too much advertising - deceptive advertising too. For a newbie these M&F, Flex etc. are the worst possible thing one can get. When I was young I wasted too much $$$ on worthless supplements (remember Cybergenics!)

Vanity Fair

If you have to have a mag, I'd say Muscular Development. I liked the articles, although there are a lot of ads. I also liked the Branch Warren sections mts comented on.

However, there are tons of pages to help balance it out with those bazillion ads.
